hello, I am building a co2 diffuser and was just wondering if co2 dissolved in water makes the water more dense, so it sinks, or less dense, so it floats? I was thinking more dense, sorry for the stupid question. thanks, and sorry if this isn't the right section.

I just started playing Dungeons & Dragons. Its pretty damn fun. I bought the 3 core rule books, but a special box set of them. I also bought the D&D Basic Game. I'm going to join the RPGA at a local RPG Players store. I was wondering if anyone here played, has played, and is interested in discussing anything regarding D&D? P.S: I'm from Miami, Florida USA. If anyone wants to play with me and a couple of other people, let me know. Thanks. -JPQuiceno A.K.A -Renti Human Fighter

does anyone know how big the crater (if the bomb was a surface explosion) was? and also how far did the shock wave travel? and for the older adults that dont know what this is it is the soviet supernuke, detonated somewhere in the arctic circle. it had a yield of 50(planned for 100) megatons and could be seen from 600 miles away and still remains as the biggest nuke detonation of all time. bet no other 14 year old knows that?

(It helps if you hum the melody of "It's a Small World" while reading the following): It's a world of evil, a world of hate, It's a world of destruction, well ain't this great. With the planes which we ride, and the terrorists' suicides, It's a vile world after all... It's a vile world after all, It's a vile world after all, It's a vile world after all, It's a vile, vile world. It's a world of war and a world of strife. It's a world of people taking other people's life With the weapons that we make and the lives that we take It's a vile world after all... It's a vile world after all, It's a vile world after all, It's a vile world after all, It'…

Ok I saw this on a video. On one of the Apollo flights there was a mysterious sound that was never explained. They played a clip of the sound and it sounded like a creepy screaming sound. On the clip astronauts were also commenting on it and trying to determine what it was. Oh BTW... the video was about UFOs and aliens. Is there any truth to this, and if so is it true that no explanation for the mystifying noise. I can't find any info on it.

After the SFN the Musical thread, I realized we would be much better in a novel. Sign-ups for characters are here. I cannot guarantee you will be included. Requirements: A character description--What you look like, what you do, if you want to be good or bad, etc. A name. Some people, like YT2095, have a name that wouldn't really fit in a novel. Give me any name you want for your character; it doesn't have to be your real name. Gender! One thing is you must have some sort of personality. I don't want plain old boring people, I want someone with personality. Quirks and such are great. Plot ideas are welcome, but I am formulating the plot already. Your su…

What is a word that is analogous to parable or allegory but for a phrase instead of a story? In other words, what word would describe a phrase, or even a word, that conveys a moral principle?

Given that opinions often lead to new discoveries, I am not advocating that they are bad. However, I'm curious as to how many people can have such strong opinions that they're willing to defend with limited evidence. It's almost as if each person automatically gives their opinions more standing, just because they're able to fathom how the opinion came about. Before anyone says "that's not true, most people accept that their opinion is only one of many", consider the fact that you just said that. How can you firmly believe it? Because it seems logical to you? Are there not people who are smarter, more methodical in their logic than you, who have reached the opposite …

Hi everybody! I just noticed that this site has a chatroom. I went into the chatroom, and I saw about 15 people online. I typed a message, and pressed Enter. My message showed up in the chatroom, but nobody said anything. I waited about 10 minutes, and nothing happened. Did anybody see my message, or did I do something wrong?

Usually, a sequel system of the previous one coming, it takes times to scheme and design. As you could see, Sony makes its system come out in an order: PS released in 1994, PS2 released in the March of 2000, and PS3 will be released somewhere of Spring, 2006. I don't know when Xbox was released in US ( at that time, I was not in US). If Xbox was come in 2001, then it is only 4 years that it has its sequel system coming out for Xbox. That is not long. You need quite a while to plan the design, running ability, and graphics interaction with hardware. I think Xbox 360 will probably be another bust; unlike what the reports said: "it will be a successful system." And…

Was it the first, The Matrix...or the second, Matrix Reloaded or the last, Matrix Revolutions. Its a tough call, each of them have a slightly different flavor, and all are a rare blend of sci-fi actions escapism with a dash of philosophy and religon thrown in. If one thing can be said, the directors knew that action is key....keep it coming...and each film ends with a gigantic and spectacular pay off scene. Hugo Weaving deserved an Oscar for his Agent Smith. Not since Emperor Ming in Flash Gordon was their ever a guy who you loved to hate. I just can't make up my mind...though I lean towards Matrix Revolutions, that whole attack on Zion is hard to forget,…

I have a problem about Yahoo messenger. I know you can use member directory to search down who qualify your search terms and who are online. Like I type Japan in the column of location and mark up female in American Online member Directory, there will show a list of members that qualify my searching requisitions. Does Yahoo Messenger has this function, and how? Also that in US yahoo site, can I establish my own chatroom myself? Teach me please.

Teachers and parents never like their children say vulgarities because it will be very rude and uncivilised for them to do so, and some of them have sexual meanings. Is saying vulgarities totally, completely bad? (My phrasing sucks, but I think you know what I mean.)

I've seen this book in a couple of places, and I've been sort of curious about it. Actually, there has been a link to the website on these forums a couple of times. I went there and read the opening chapter, and it seemed not entirely accurate, some contradictions he brought up were misrepresented. Has anyone read it? What did you think about it? Should I get it?

I was reading The Fabric of the Cosmos (okay, listening to the book-on-tape during my drive home...) by Briane Greene. He was explaining how Newton thought about space and absolute-space and brought up Mach's (I believe it was Mach anyway) example about being in a void. Nothing around just a black void, and then you started spinning. Newton explained that once you started spinning your hands would want to move away from your body. Mach didn't think that would be the case, to him it was because if there wasn't anything in space there wouldn't be anything pulling your hands away from your body, no outside gravity. Okay, I can accept that, you need objects to inf…
