Hello All, I am glad that I passed by this forums as from what I can see its such a great resource to gaining knowledge from other experienced members. Hence, I am hereby to tell you the following: 1 - I made a medical test called "Cervical polyp" and The Microscpoic Description was: "Shows endometrial tissue with severe ongoing cervicitis. There are strips of epithelium with severe hyperplastic and moderately atypical cells. There is no invading tumor". ------- The Final Diagnosis Based on Gross and Microscopic Examination: Cervical biospy: Severe chronic cervicitis with focal moderate atypia. 2 - The other medical test I did was "Cervical …

Can't decided really which to major in. I have a strong background in computers and computer programming...but want to learn more about developing hardware/microcontrollers/new technlogies. Im going to the University of Houston and they both require the same classes for the first two years, after that it branches off. Im thinking of Computer Engineer, but it isnt accreddited with ABET...only EE...should that really matter? There is also a Tech program, but im gonna stay away from that. Im doing to minor in Comp Si in either field. What do you guys suggest?

I think it would be worthwile if we try to predict the next step in the creationist movement, so we can brace ourselves and protect America's children from growing up to be ignorant. Where do they go from here? It started out as the Bible and God made the world in 6 days to some unknown intelligent creature designing things because everything is too complicated to have happened by accident, which seems to me like their best shot at weaseling their way into science classrooms. But I'm worried I'm missing something. And ideas? The only thing they can do to make it a sure evolution is really challenged is if they all become biologists and really do find a bett…

Ok, I'm currently a senior in high school, and every senior has to do something called senior projects which reflect what you want to do for the rest of your life, this includes a research paper. My paper involved alternative energy, I was completely serious and consice throughout the entire paper, 9 pages from the beginning I had just finished convering matter/antimatter annhiliations and placed the work cited at the end. The work cited took up 1 1/2 pages so, I had a bright idea (maybe not) I decided to through in LimeCat Anyone who's been online as long as I have knows of limecat, unfortunately, I don't think my sr. projects teacher knows of it, oh well, …

Do most of the European scientist that people think are germanic or celtic actually have jewish ancestors? Are there any books that give information about jewish people in northern europe at the time when romans came into northern europe? Would anyone know of if roman males who invaded northern europe also bred alot of germanic and celtic women?

I have to say that lately on reflection I've really enjoyed some of RyanJ's creative thread ideas. A what if thread, a best quotes thread, a four 4's ongoing challenge, check it out http://www.scienceforums.net/forums/search.php?searchid=108945 Its nice to see amazingly long threads that are actually enjoyable to read though, and aren't just long arguements. So this is the RyanJ tribute thread. So this thread has a point, what are the common characteristics of interesting threads, and how can we abtract those concepts and apply them to create new interesting threads? (Or just pitch some interesting thread ideas you've been aching to throw.)

And if you use one of these formulaa, then how do you make yourself follow it... I myself prefer to make schedueles...but when it comes to follow 'em...I just give up...

Hey any Star Wars fans I have something I wanna know if it's worth any money. Anyone know how to find out? I don't really want to sell it though. It's just 12x8 black and white photo of dave prauz's (sp?) potrait next to darthvader's and he's signed it "To Jim Dave Prauz is darthvader" It's pretty cool. I got it when I met him in "Woolworths" when I was like 1 or 2, cried my eyes out big time...lol

I was thinking about how nanotechnology will let us manipulate matter on very fine scales. Is it conceiveable to develop a technology that will make all particles in an object vibrate in a way that will cause macroscopic locomotion on demand? This speculation is based on the principle that all objects are made out of particles moving and bouncing off each other in random directions. The faster and more random the activity, the "hotter" the object is. But what if it were possible with radiowaves or magnetism to synchronize the movements of those particles to suit a useful function, like concerted movement? What if an engine were designed to work on a concept like t…

I love the way one physicist has mixed the Santa Claus fantasy with the legend of Albert Einstein and put it on the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory website. http://www.fnal.gov/pub/ferminews/santa/ For a sober myth-busting presentation of special relativity, see http://www.everythingimportant.org/relativity/special.pdf http://www.everythingimportant.org/viewtopic.php?t=1100

After some discussion amongst the staff, we have decided to institute a new annual tradition here at Science Forums and Debate: A Person of the Year contest! For the next six days we would like our members to post nominations of scientists and engineers whom you feel made the biggest contribution during the year 2005. Please reply to this thread to do so, and when you do please include a full description of whom you are talking about, and why you feel their contribution is so important. Once we have your suggestions, the staff will finalize a nominations list, and we will post a list of nominees, which all members will vote on next week. The final vote will…

I was thinking the other day of an idea for a website. It would be a virtual chemistry lab in which you could search for various experiments commonly performed. Each experiment would have its own section of the site in which there would be descriptions and videos and discussion boards etc. It would be a community based thing in which people could add more and more data such as images, videos and their results, as well as expanding onto more and more different more obscure experiments. I was wondering if there exists a website like this?
