It's about time people start using the interent in more creative way, then just using it. The internet in my opinion; is so full of junk and so cluttered that eventually security problems and over kill of too many good things in one place will lead to it's own demise. I'm not saying people stop using it, but people will not want to. I'm glad to see academy starting to use the internet in more specific ways. I've always thought the internet should be more personal to each person. This way security problems won't be as much a threat and we can get back to what everyone invisioned the internet would be. More information about INTERNET 2: http://www.internet2.…

my mother just spent an hour and half writing up some stuff for her work, and made 10 pages of stuff. she saved that, and then deleted 8 of the pages, because she only wanted to send 2 of them to someone. she went to click save as to save the 2 page version as a seperate file, but her finger slipped and she hit save. before coming to ask me, she for some reason closed the program so she cant just undo the deletes. is there any way to recover her lost information?

when you have a folder full of songs or videos microsoft has taken it upon itself to change your sorting options to those it has deemed relevent to music and videos (year, artist, title, etc.) i absolutely hate that because i want my list sorted by when it was modified. i cant for the life of me find a way to get the old sorting options to come back. ive tried changing the customization properties to a document folder.

I keep my phpBB up to date and I am quite shure my PC is not infected with anything etc... http://www.with-logic.co.uk My question is that If a user '203.121.69.154' Is posting obviously automated spam that tries to trick other users into downloading an obviosuly malicious .exe file, Which he is, Where can I complane to get him removed from the internet? How do I find out what ISP I should complane to? If I ban the people from the whole internet and not just romove there user acounts from my forum, It will help everyone?

It's a decision making problem I read about in school some years ago: you are trying to decide which job offer (out of many) you should accept. You only get one offer at a time and if you turn it down it's no longer available, but if you accept it you can not accept any other offers which might turn out to be better. I don't have my notes anymore and I've only found the following document online: http://www.cs.princeton.edu/courses/archive/fall99/cs341/handouts/k2.pdf In that handout the answer seems to be k, but it's not clear to me what the optimal approach is, especially if n is not fixed. Can anyone please explain? If there is an optimal solution then maybe it ha…

I have a fresh copy of Windows xp pro installed on a blank harddrive, ive installed video, motherboard, and wireless card drivers. ive installed mozilla fire fox. and thats it. there is nothing else installed as far as this os is concerned. it runs perfectly fine until i try to do something online. i can go on the windows update site with no problems, but as soon as i try to browse anything, like SFN or hotmail or google, its a matter of seconds before my computer restarts with no warning or error message. it happens with IE and with firefox, it happens with my wireless card and with…

  14. When i built my pc i bought a realy high end mobo, but the strtange thing is that it has a bunch of other port (2 pci-x, 2 pci x1, and 1 pci x4) and only two standard pci slots. I have in one an xfi soundcard, and in the other a network card ( i also have dual lan on my mobo, so i dont realy need it, but i do like it, as its nice at lans). SO no more pci slots. But now i need a wireless card and i dont want a usb one. USB adaptors never seem to be as fast and my friends is always buggy (he has a name brand linksys also) and also i like having internal things, as oppesed to the usb substitute. SO im wondering if they make a wireless card that uses either pci x1 or x4. I ca…

Hello. I recently signed up here and thought I would present a question for my first post. Good Luck. If you have troubles understanding any parts, just ask and I will be glad to explain. This is based on intels x86 architecture. It is NOT a program. You just assign the values and solve. void ***q=malloc(8); *q=q; *((long long *)*q)=0x012345678abcdef; what is the value of (int)*((char *)q) ?

I have built a JavaScript slideshow for a client. It works fine for me but she says there are problems when she views it on her machine. I would be very greatful if you would view the slideshow and tell me whether or not it works correctly. You do not need to be able to understand JavaScript to help me out with this. I just want to know if her problem occurs for alot of people. Please view it here: http://frankipollick.com/slideshow.html and let me know if it works as intended. She claims that the images will be replaced with blackness for unpredictable amounts of time when the slideshow is on. This should never be the case, the images should transition one to the ot…
