So I've played around with web crawlers before and Selenium. I am currently looking for a way to download web pages to collect texts. I am using python and is thinking of scraping through IPS. Which I believe ranges from 0.0.0.0 to 999.999.999.999? I think most people have port 80 open? So I would have a loop like 0.0.0.0 to 999.999.999.999 and just use urllib to download the webpages. Let me know if this is correct or if there is a better way, thanks

I have often heard that your computer is only as fast as your slowest part what would I need to overclock this processor to, to balance this video card. It has a water-cooler 280mm water-cooler so I don't think temperature will be a issue, but I want them to balance. Processor Video Card Because currently I clock this processor to 4.0 ghz. Current Processor to balance. Current Video Card Which I know is off by 1% , that is due to overheating above that with a standard fan cooler which sits at Min 44 C to Max 87 C which is say below 100 C to 150 C where it melts but I always go below 99 C to be safe which I have been told be be OC'd t…

I purchased a new Dell Inspiron 13, 5000 series, laptop jewel. The battery may be tough to replace eventually, so..... Will I improve (or hurt) the battery by keeping the laptop plugged in ALL the time from the start, or are charge/discharge cycles necessary? Thanks. EW

  4. We all know about artificial neural network and genetic algorithm, but what good is it if it can only be tested on the computer world? What if you build a robot, and have the robot runs these algorithms to protect you at all cost in the real world? What if you build a microwave turret and have the microwave turret runs these algorithms to protect you? What if you ask the robot to make you immortal, to make you a god. The possibility seems infinite.

  5. (High quality version: https://i.imgur.com/iQEDfXq.png) "Giant intuitive diagram showing how an artificial neural network works; by allowing error signals (aka changes in costs) to “trickle” backwards from the output layer. For example: “Trickling” backwards simply means a value (aka cost) computed at some neuron \(j\) in layer \(L\) is input to values generated by computations of some prior neuron \(k\) in layer \(L-1\). Some cost computed from neuron \(k\) then becomes input to values generated by computations of some prior neuron \(m\), in layer \(L-2\)." Two years ago, I myself was one of the lucky people that wrote a basic artificial neural net in python from scratch, and got it to run but I didn't really understand why some of the code was working. I'd been following a channel called 3blue1brown for math stuff, and I recently saw a youtube video about neural nets by the same channel. That 3blue1brown's neural net series is surprisingly very clear, I've never seen anything that clear in all my life. What's even cooler, is that I found a tutorial on 3blue1brown's reddit about neural nets inspired by 3blue1brown's channel, that makes 3blue1brown's neural net series even clearer. The tutorial's is …

What is a most secure encryption algorithm or physical method which can be implemented on modern computers, for example smart phones? Or a method which can be implemented in the near future? It seems they can easily break even RSA nowdeys with help of an accoustic microphone. I mean a method which would not only allow secure communication between smartphones, but also make smartphone completely invulnerable to hackers? Is quantum cryptography now available for smart phones and could be more helpful than any other system?

I just posted this problem in the wrong forum (Computer Help). I think this is the better forum for this question. Sorry for the duplication... In the following problem, which algorithm should be considered? Having a finite set of variable height brikcs, how can I find the subset that can reach at least a given height, minimizing the total height of the chosen bricks? In other words, which bricks should I use to reach a given height minimizing cost of material? Thanks.

  12. Hey trying to teach myself physics and machine learning. This concerns the paper mentioned in the title. My 2 cents on the paper: Essentially the model is predicting the future, but instead of pixel space latent space. Consciousness is represented as some "hidden state" of a recurrent neural network. This "hidden state" is about generative modelling, because generative modelling has large capacity to capture low level embeddings. But it really just seems like an attention mechanism. Anybody here know machine learning can verify?

It seems there is a unique mobile phone that already became part of my personality, somehow. I need help of programmers either for payment or volunteers to clean it from viruses and save it from hackers. Some firewall would be helpful too. I athorise any qualified person to act in my best needs. Also, it would be interesting to know if there any free virtual reality modulators which can be installed on mobile phones.

This may not be the place to discuss this but thought i'd give it a try. Why doesn't anyone make/sell a personal huge hard drive DVR that we could upload a thousand movies to and create a personal organized library of movies so we could watch one at any time? A device that we can insert a DVD, record it onto the device and then manipulate it in an organized library. Then watch it, record it onto a another DVD disk or a thumb drive...does anyone make this type of hardware?

Hello, I want to make a command line in C++ that would automatically switch to my external display instead of sharing it (and lowering overall resolution) with laptops (broken and removed) "built in" display. It often happens when I put laptop out of sleep mode and it is really tedious after some time. I know there are shortcuts but I want it to be set by default, which for some reason is not saved in windows. So, any tips what should I do? I am a absolute rookie at coding, made a few programs which control system here and there, but not something like this. EDIT: Sorry, just realized I made 2 same topics by accident...
