I am sure my internet connection is perfectly working... but when I try to access Amazon.com, or Amazon.co.uk It takes either a very very long time, or it is mostly unaccessible... I tried ping as well, and the result is 4 times the "request timeout" Can any one try to access Amazon, and see is it accessible?? if you have same result as me or not... May be it is just temporarily down..., but AMazon is really a big site... It seems impossible for this... thx for Any respond Albert

On my other computer I recently downloaded DX9. After it finished downloading the computer went to its windows start up screen and will not do anything past that when i start it up. When I start it up I go to the windowsME start up screen and it freezes, when I touch any button the computer does not respond. But when I touch the shutoff button it immediatly goes off, instead of the normal few second delay. Any ideas? I have called around but every place I call wants to charge me a ridiculous amount of money to even look at it. The computer is only 2 years old, my warranty is up, but I would like to fix the problem myself if I can. The computer uses Mccafree(sp?) …

Today, when I was checking my email inbox, I received an email from xxxxx@...com. I clicked on it and the email contained a file. xxxx.pif. I know it probably is an inflected file, I was too mischievous and used the yahoo to scan it. The fact is.... it is an inflected file. Does the yahoo have a very strong virus detector, even better than ours?

My parents just received a few emails on their computer from someone saying they had received emails from my parents with a virus. My parents hadn't emailed them in a long time. Then the E-mail part of Norton Anti-virus quit working. I rebooted it in safe mode and the thing said that windows needed to be reactivated because of "significant hardware changes." Norton AV said it had been tampered and needed to be reinstalled. WHAT SHOULD I DO? I'm looking at Symantec's site to see what it says and what virus it is...

Hi, Few other people are using my computer as well. If one of them installs a kind of software, which spies on my everything, for example like stealing my password or finding which sites I have visited or whatever I have done on my computer. My question is how can I know that such kind of software is installed on my system, as such kind of software is normally hidden. Thanks in advance.

I'm having a reoccurring problem of configuring EDS I-DEAS to work when the license server (Flexim) is separated by a firewall (ZA Pro).... sharing as much resources, opening ports etc. does not seem to produce a solution (all typical sols seem to fail, even opening a pipe with absolutely no protection does not help) ... so I'm getting the idea that something else is causing a problem rather than having something closed with ought not be ... anyone had any similar experiences with license servers ?
