he flopped like a history teacher trying to explain abstract group theory.

For John so loved the MCAT that he gave his only begotten social life that whoever studies may not end up in the Carribean but be accepted in the US.

It's the test to get into medical school. There is no passing or failing though. You get a number score and a percentile rank, which medical schools correlate with your GPA and other factors to determine whether or not they want you. Just because you do well does not mean you are admitted. It's one of a number of factors considered (though it is weighed the highest). The test is 100 passage based questions which test your knowledge of biology, chemistry, and physics, as well as your verbal reasoning and writing capacity.
