While it was somewhat of a pain in the ass, I have to concede that it was a damned clever idea.

Substituting all instances of the word "scientist" with the word "theologian" was diabolical. Using the swear filters to make all those substitutions was pretty clever and easily fixable. And the Admins could rig it themselves and keep the rest of the Staff in the dark.

 

Rigging usernames was funny since they only showed up in quotes. The best was switching all instances of "global warming" with "omg ponies!"

I have to admit, it was fun seeing "ye" and "art" all of the time. Instead of "you are." Nicely played. I wonder if any noobs got confused? I know some more veteran folks did.

Cap'n actually got me with the logo. I saw it yesterday morning and though "well damn, no one's changed the christmas logo since...christmas".

I liked that as well. Whenever I see "ye" the voice reading in my head switches to a pirate accent. Maybe we should have Cappy work up some more for Talk Like A Pirate Day this year.
