  1. I'm so glad 'they' wasn't 'me' when I took the shrums, but isn't a mirage a lie about where we can find the water?
  2. Indeed, language without ambiguity just goes on for ever...
  3. Indeed, by the time we realise that they should have been cancelled, it's always to late.
  4. I know, like I said "what you lack is a reasonable argument"; like I also said, at the start of our dialogue "it's people/politicos who hamper proper investigation, not the process of science" (I paraphrase); wake me when you finally think of a good argument, til then it's night night for me.
  5. Now they, should have been cancelled, too late now though... 😉
  6. Indeed. At risk of being called a six year old, again... What you lack is a reasonable argument for why Tinkerbell doesn't live under a bridge...
  7. Well my fuckwit said "we're going to bring back national service, on a voluntary basis", I'll race you to bottom...
  8. I'm sure he thinks jumping the shark is a lucrative business opportunity, bc he doesn't have the wit to be an actual shark, waiting for a meal; have faith comrades, this too will pass...
  9. Mother nature is just a term we use, like gaia, to explain, amongst other things, the seeming intelligence of our world; would you say a bee hive has a soul? Metaphysics is kind of a first principal way of thinking, am I here? etc. IOW it's where to start your journey of wonder, not an excuse to stop thinking. If you want to believe your soul is eternal, then have at it and good luck to you, just don't expect a reasonable argument, there is none, bc it's nonsense in it's literal sense. Can I damage my soul? Is a far more interesting question... No-one cares about the world according to John, it's not even interesting enough to become a future religion, ask Brian...
  10. Well if he does, at least I'll shuffle off this marble laughing at someone... 😉
  11. There is a better way, when you understand what the monkey on your back is, and you give it the respect it deserves; then the monkey will clime off and share a beer with you; otherwise it's another empire lost...🙄
  12. Dude, I've been telling you that for the last few page's 'ask a better question', bc you're starting to look like a cunning troll...
  13. Who would you choose to populate the jury?
  14. Don't make me break out the parrot sketch... "If you hadn't nailed it to the perch, it would be pushing up the daisies." Your bias is religious in nature, IOW you believe in what you think; ironic when you think about it... 🙄
  15. What you're missing is that recognition of your own biases, is just step one; it's a step you have yet to take. Just saying "I am biased" can be said by a parrot. 😉
  16. Not smart enough to understand this. You're using it wrong, it's desighned to 'stop' us going round in circles chasing our tails.
  17. No, he's trying to retrofit his understanding with endless dead end's, rather than a meta approach to ending the circle...
  18. I can't think for you, but as @Genady suggests have fun thinking one up, it doesn't have to be high-brow to throw up interesting answers and tangents worth exploring. But if you push me, why was Led Zeppelin so popular in America?
  19. Well, for a start I think Dawkins is deluded. but come on @Luc Turpin enough of this merry-go-round. Think of a better question, please... 🙏

I thought you guy's threw off the shackles of indentured servitude, drugs are bad, m'kay...

Indeed, I guess it depends on why the law was written, rather than protecting the citizens from themselves...

Think yourself lucky, I got a Turkey who thinks I'm sexy enough to gobble at...

Today I learned, there's more people who speak English in China than in the USA. 😉

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't convicted felons not allowed to vote? Seems like an oversight, not to go all the way with such a law. 😉
