  1. Just so you can see the full spectrum, some of the little shits are just fucking with you...
  2. Maybe, just think about how you'll get to the shop's tomorrow; Armageddon isn't due for at least a month... 🤞
  3. He is today, and the god-emperor tends to grow into the role; first, since he's still alive 🙄, he changes the law to allow him at least a fifth term and he's only allowed to be seen via the internet.
  4. Isaac Assimov explored the idea of gaia in the final novel of his foundation series, it was a metaphor for how humans and robot's can interface. I have no idea who's the original author and what restrictions they placed on the OP/idea; but what makes you think that it's not a metaphor? What part do you think is litterally true?
  5. The planet of the apes is a simple metaphor, imagine the discussion we'd have if this was the planet of the worm, Arakis for instance...
  6. I mean the thought of human's, before the inevitable breakdown of comunication between the cultures and their progeny; religions had a good idea about how to live within the means of our planet/God/Gaia; that knowledge was lost, in the rabbit hole of understanding. If we can relate to the language, via a code breaker, we can at least continue to live here, despite our ignorance... 😉
  7. Of course not, (this reminds me of an aviation joke, the pilot reports, to the engineer 'something loose in the cockpit' the engineers report 'something tightened in the cockpit'.) it's just a thought about how something work's, but without the cypher of truth that can break the code, you can't falsify the god of the code.
  8. Indeed, but my question still stands; what exactly is it that we're discussing?
  9. That's your first problem, assuming it's solvable... If your premise is wrong at the start, I don't need to read the rest.
  10. Well, that's ten year's of wasted thought, good luck in the next ten... 🤒
  11. Thanks, it's a good job that I didn't need the money... 😉
  12. I have to admit that's a tricky one to argue against, but then I didn't expect to get paid by that Nigerian prince either...
  13. Oh well, buggered by the small print; although it doesn't state that the email couldn't be post hoc. I answered the question asked, I'm not required to read a PDF, by the law of this site... 🙄
  14. I didn't read the rules, but I'll happily argue why they're probably wrong, if you can point to the one that specifically says why I shouldn't be paid for my solution... 🤞😣
  15. TBH when I posted this topic, I was hoping to get stuck into a page or two of conjecture, as to the aftermath, if he'd chosen to present himself in profile at the moment of impact; not still discussing my Ill informed effort's.
  16. You wiegh your so called freedom against the lifestyle you choose to live; for instance the imagined freedom of a billionaire is being able to do exactly what he wants, within the boundaries of their self-imposed prison; while a mountain man's imagined freedom is to do exactly what he wants to, in the dark and cut off from the world of help if they need it, bc they'll be spending every hour of daylight in the summer, preparing for winter; most of us think we're free, but we've all gotta walk to the shop's when we need something to eat and pay the water-rates when we need to drink/wash/water... Did I win?
  17. Indeed, but Don jr. is just a metaphor for who the king maker deems worthy of the crown, and devotion in this manner does seem to transfer rather easily, like someone greased the rail's...
  18. What exactly is your question? It seems to be lost down this rabbit hole, I found...
  19. Some manager's manage it; it's better to be lucky than right, although that would sail over a bank manager's head...
  20. We mustn't forget the role of black friday in this; the elderly are afraid of loosing what they have, the young are afraid to be the last to own a 60" smart TV and both are afraid of the people in the queue.
  21. I always thought it would end with the parrot sketch... 🖖
  22. 'The importance of being Earnest', explored a similar line of thought...
  23. TBH, I don't think a forensic auditor could discern a difference... 🧐 They couldn't recognise the association of the cadence of the walk to the bank with happiness.
  24. Would that have made the GOP temporarily indestructible with Don jnr thrust under the crown?
  25. Now where's the profit in that?
