  1. Well, maybe neither of us is correct; but you're welcome to your filter bubble, where you can't be wrong... I don't care anymore...
  2. I'm sorry, there was a point to my question's which would have been revealed upon receipt of your answers (for additional context). Along the lines of, there's no independent adjudication of your rules... Last post @Phi for All, I'd say it's been fun, but lately, with all this prejudice of my intent; no thanks...
  3. I'm sorry, did I interupt your replies... 🙄
  4. I have explained throughout our exchanges, uniqueness in art is the antipode of supply and demand, it has to be created from the bootstrap. A teacup from the titanic, has many thousands of copies in many a bric-a-brac sale going for pennies, if I can manufacture a link that people will believe, then that teacup will return 10,000% profit for each one that I introduce to the market, in a believable fashion.
  5. Is there ever going to be a time when you'll pay out your money? Isn't it morally wrong to promise something you have no intention of honoring?
  6. God didn't right the bible, people did... Besides god doesn't need the money, therefore the question is for 'poeple' of all faith's and antifaith's and everyone in between; god would have to make a new Jesus in order to, vicariously, join the conversation. Jesus said love your neighbours, he didn't stipulate an earnings bracket; in fact, I think he felt sorry for the rich, and not because they're evil... 😉 (look it up)
  7. Indeed, the question has nothing to do with god; so why is it still in the wrong forum?
  8. Your OP seems to... 😉
  9. You seem to have missed my mention of the artworld manufacturing the value of art. That's why I admire Banksy's art, he makes it almost impossible to own and everyone can see the picture. Uniqueness, in the mind of a rich/selfish man, is something I can spend a fortune on and it not cost me a penny, and still not even see the picture; it's value is +1 to me... That seems a little harsh, it is my thread... The most valuable thing I've gotten from art, is the most poignant moment of my life; looking out on Juno beach and my mind superimposing the opening credit's of 'Dad's Army' on the scene in front of me. It gave me a real insight into the value of life...
  10. It's just a smile, while I walk to the shop... May be that's a Banksy... 😉
  11. The intrinsic value of art, is that it puts a smile on my face; when I need to walk 1,000 miles to a shop...
  12. You got a meme/gif for that? If memory serves, North Korean fake dollar bill's were of better quality than a US printed one, at some point in history.
  13. The intrinsic value of these objects depend on a promise... 😉 If I was a 1,000 miles from a shop, I'd rather have a knife.
  14. What's your argument about the rest of that sentence/post? I heard the other day of an artist that couldn't tell the difference between his work and that of famous forgery artist, someone has to decide at a forensic level about the 'official' provinance (oops) of a painting that is up for sale; it's not like both paintings can be sold for half the price of the original, the value isn't in the picture itself.
  15. Who sets the rules? For instance, if I was dying of thirst and broke into your home to drink from the tap, in some countries you would be within your rights to shoot me when I turn round, before I have a chance to apologise and offer to pay for the damages.
  16. It's the people that decide what is original, that set the value of a painting; it costs me nothing to own a copy of his work. But in Banksy's case it's a team of people, that verify every peace of graffiti that appears on a wall, in a public place; the disappointment of those that saw a good peace of graffiti in their neighbourhood, only to find out it was only a local toe-rag that was inspired by him... 😣
  17. What metric are you going to use in order to objectify one's freedom, and make it universally true?
  18. There's a band new dance but I don't know it's name
  19. The copies look the same, the value is in the providence, a contiguous story that is dictated by a historian; not the artist,,,
  20. It's the antipode of supply and demand, I've seen the Rhino unsolicited and if I want it on my wall I've just got to copy and paste. The artworld has to manufacture it's uniqueness in order to dupe the plebs that think eating at a starred restaurant will taste so much better, bc a famous person got paid to say it does.
  21. Unless, by freedom, you mean free-will, then I have indeed answered your question. There is no univesal, objective freedom; even within a single culture, at whatever scale you look, there are different levels of freedom available to each individual e.g. a child has very limited freedom when compared to a parent, and each individual will view their levels of freedom with differing levels of satisfaction. And we're back to your moral standards and the containment/restrictions, presumably, of the people who you consider are not doing things correctly.
  22. Not all languages are defined by a noun, that would be very confusing...
  23. In recent news here in blighty, A Banksy has been defiled by a tagger in a mask caught on camera; the Twittersphere is all of a twitter, which could have added value if it hadn't been bought by someone who didn't understand the art...
  24. Are you sure about that? Modern is just a re-examination of dogmatic beliefs, Christianity doesn't need a god to work; in the right context...
  25. You need to be more specific: Trauma can cause post traumatic stress disorder, which causes people suffering, bc they know what is real...
