  1. Way to many questions for a sensible discussion, please have a think and ask the question you most want answering/discussing.
  2. Doesn't that depend on where the patient is?
  3. I'm happy for the discussion to evolve. I was thinking on a case by case basis depending on the prognosis on admission.
  4. But if we did prove god exists he'd disappear in a puff of logic.
  5. It would be news (given we aren't). I don't really see why and since we know we're heading for a shit storm (global warming, pollution etc.) and can't seem to do anything about it, I don't see how a warm fuzzy feeling is going change anything.
  6. TBH I didn't read beyond this, as you stated it as fact, but even if it is true... (80% of the universe) one of them has to be the biggest, so why does that make the earth special?
  7. These from your link. What about them?
  8. It's funny how you both congratulate each other, whilst misunderstanding the point and the dictionary.
  9. do you really think Gees understands the difference? Or are you talking Bollocks?
  10. Indeed, but the point still exists.
  11. But it is when it comes to understanding what the POTUS is thinking, let's hope the two aren't mutually exclusive.
  12. Since the NHS is publically funded, I'm not sure where you're going with this argument?
  13. I'm not suggesting we shouldn't sustain life (pay for it if you like), I'm suggesting there's a point at which the cost outweighs the benefit. I mean the state shouldn't have to pay for such a wish.
  14. Nice try Tub, but there's not much evidence of that. Nice snipe. Indeed but sometimes the fight seems futile.
  15. The ethical need to sustain life, the Achilles heel of the NHS? Most of the cost to the NHS is in the last years of our life, and it's my intention to sign a DNR (Do Not Resuscitate) as and when my time is nigh, so as to play a small part in its continued success. When is it reasonable for a doctor to sign a DNR, despite the wishes of the patient, if it means a huge saving in costs and will ensure its sustainability.
  16. That's another one that doesn't parse, please take more care to make sense.
