  1. Well it was darn close when I was counting when I fell. three seconds was from when I jumped till contact point. You should try jumping off of cliffs it can help you understand. I think his Mt. Everest is more like a pole the same height as everest. It is impossible to fall from Everest to sea level.
  2. Agreed DrDNA he shouldn't have kids, but he can have pigs. I want you to remember this discusion is over a minority of vegeterians.
  3. When you use the word "some" in your question. You are right, actually it's a minority. I've came in contact with probably 2,000 vegetarians in my life, and the ones I've talked to, about 100 or so believe there's nothing wrong with eating meat. Ask different questions if you have any. I'm a veg. Lacto-oval-veg.
  4. I think you need to realize terminal velocity. I don't know anything really, but i pretty sure it would take longer than 40ty seconds. Ask cpt_refssmet. Or at least his name is something like that.
  5. I think it sounds like a parasite rather than the creation of a new life form.
  6. Wouldn't you reach a maxium velocity, because of wind resistence? Well, it took me 3 seconds to fall from a 40ft cliff, so maybe you could at least get a generalization, also I weigh 130. You can see that you can't get a generalization, because you didn't specify the weight of the object falling.
  7. What? Sure it will. He likes programming, so he should understand what truly great programming is. Well if he wants to understand science here is some help: Look at what you know and see if you can expand. Like if you believe in atoms research the proof givened for the Atomic Theory. I like rutherford's experiment the most. Then you could look at what you know about cells and see you can find out more. Like how they know where proteins are in the cell. George Pavade did some awesome work on it.
  8. Yeah, a good simulation is HALO. The gravity is fairly realistic. The gun recoil is awesome, along with heightening your perception. The warthog drives like a real car.
  9. It is in the nucleus of the animal cells, yet it does travel around when it is being made. Look up the work done by George Pavade. You can do the same experiment using radioactive phosphorus.
  10. One interesting thing is that NaCl isn't a molecule, because of how it is constructed. However, 02 is a molecule but also an element. So don't get confused by questions it could possibly have two answers.
  11. I just started college and I'm taking biology of cells. I've discovered that the math is all tied in. Right now I'm researching how to make a tertiary model of an enzyme that I get to make up. It's really confusing how to put it together. There is no way you could do it without having basic math skills. Also in a recent lab we're learning how to estimate sizes of bacteria. The professor stresses the practice of estimation, so that we can give acurate acounts of what we see. However, I do agree that biology is way less involved in math than physics.
  12. Well, I did read a book, but I'm no expert. I believe that it has to do with actually brain chemistry rather than just adrenalin. Like an increase in the chemical much like L-Dopa that cause increased brain activity. In your situation I bet a less exprience driver wouldn't have reacted as quick. You probably recognized the situation as a threat that released the chemical in your brain to think quickly. Adrenalin usually comes too, but according to what I read there is this mustache looking thing that releases a chemical like L-dopa to increase brain activity. Your brain sort of reacted subconciously telling your body to do certain things, but however afterwards you realized what was really going through you head about why you were doing this.
  13. How about we associate the previous post to another. I'll start A common phrase used by those suffering from depression, and/or academic retardation.
  14. No muzzles. I hate to see dogs with muzzles it make me cry.
  15. You didn't go to college? Wow, didn't think you could do it without college.
  16. You really need to research Kent Hovind. I will in the matter of the next month and get back to you 'cause I need to overlook it myself. One strange thing is that they could very well be overlaps between the two. Like the form a "symbiotic" relationship. There's is facts, but I don't want to tell you them untill I review them myself.
  17. Hello, I'm a new bacteria that has caused most of you a pain in the neck. I'm from the planet kreon. I've been studing you weak species for about a decade now. No, really, I'm eight years of age. A biological genius if you may, even though my account says 16 I decided to post that because that is what I test at. Explains a lot doesn't it? That means when I say back when I was eight it means like 3 months ago. I often get confussed with simple things. I ask questions about evolution a lot 'cause eight years doesn't provide much time for knowledge to sink in. I'm in college, but through online courses.
  18. Like humans for instance. How many people have died from humans than pittbulls? A lot more, maybe we should see what races are more agressive then ban those races/ kill them off. You see it is quite ridiculous.
  19. Retrograder, you post is well put. Now, if we all take what Retrograder said into thought and not be bias about it. You'll discover he is quite right. Fossils, we can learn from, but always remember they could be mistaken. I could keep going on talking to all the people who think evolution in all its aspects is a cold hard fact. I'm saying it isn't. Send me a private message, and I'll show you were the gaps lie. That's is why as a student of science I don't accept either, but constantly debate both. Creationist, obvisously, none of you know much about how it can be supported, so I don't debate it. I like to believe in creationism, because I truly believe there is a God. Whether or not evolution was part of his plan, I don't know. The big bang theory however to me is still absurd, because the big bang came from a lot of dust, but where did that come from? It truly goes back to nothing. i would rather believe in a God that supplies hope and meaning to peoples life than believing in nothing. I'm not saying big bang is evolution, but something had to give the push for even evolution to start. Now, you can post small comments in reply on here, but large ones send directly to me. About the vids. I'll look at them tomorrow when I'm on school bandwith and not my own. You neeeeeeeeeed to look at your own links. It didn't say it was fabricated. Did it list the creationist that abandoned it? No. I see that post as a cheap dodge. The Bible actually supports the feet. It says in genesis. "There was giants in those days." Noah was over 12' when you look at the other history around the bible. As for the enlarged metatarsal. Giants today, don't have porportionate metatarsals. I would also suggest you stop posting talkorigins for a fact sight. It is a forum. I started, posting there when I was 10. They couldn't answer my questions. Talkorigins has some good facts, but some aren't fact such as the link you sent me. Notice the man even was accepting corrections. I don't post the creation sites I know, but not saying they're are wrong I like to get my resources second to the person who did the study. I got my answer verified earlier from this site. Q. How far away from Lucy did you find the knee? A. Sixty to seventy meters lower in the strata and two to three kilometers away. It's still a long distance. Creationists lie just as much as the evolutionists????? No, creationists usually believe in the TEN COMMANDMENTS, if you know what they are. This site is affiliated with a really good creationist. Try emailing him. http://www.drdino.com I've watch this guys seminars and he really rises interesting points about the two. remember I'm not saying he's right. Read Job chapter 21. The chapter about leviathan. They think he was one of the last Dinosaurs. Remember though the word "Dinosuar" wasn't made untill websters time. Before they believe the word might have been DRAGON.
  20. sorry about the spelling. A good owner will change the personality of a pittbull. Imagined if you were two you hit your sister and your parents didn't discipline you. You wouldn't grow up to be a mature adult. It isn't something that can't be fix.
  21. Yeah, maybe the owners want them to aggresive. Their breeding has a little affect on how the dog resilient to violence. Intinct is still in dogs, but how they will treat humans is entirely up to the owner.
  22. Here is a site that sells really good software, If you want to understand better. I bought one, but it got a nasty scratch on it. I can still use it though.
  23. Well put... I don't need this thread anymore. Can you delete it?
