  1. That's interesting because my book was just published last year. Maybe they aren't new in structure, but just new. This is a response to lucaspa.
  2. Well also you have take into consideration that males do more physically strenous work. Females just aren't built for it. The male body when doing physical work will wear down faster, thus causing earlier death. There is men that way out lived their wives. There is so many factors in why you die early. They may be all part of it.
  3. Well I'm trying to figure out the likelyhood of it occuring on the outside. Also salt bridges will prefer to be hydrophilic and not phobic I made a mistake. The use of it being on the outside would be to make stop hydrophilic substance from entering a hydrophobic area. That is very small used for a holder maybe for a different hydrophobic substance. And since has a side of the bond outside another enzyme can easily access the bond and alter it to get the hydrophobic substance. It would be like a carrier. If you have it on the inside you would have to break through the amino acide sequence and the disulfide bond. Does that make since. Thanx for the question it expanded my thinking on it. The likelyhood however says that the bond would be nonpolar making it hydrophobic, or does that not matter?
  4. Ok, I have a project to construct my own enzyme. here is the criteria for the model. 1. 100-500 peptides long 2. Must have 2 disulfide links and 1 salt bridge. 3. Must make since in the environment you specify. 4. Must provide (a) protein sequence (b) DNA sequence 5. Must be able to specify and explain DNA change that yeilds a protein change that knocks out your protein. Part (b) of 4 and 5 I don't want to bring up right now. I putting down the criteria, because I'll be refering to it. Note: I don't want you guys to do my project for me, but I think this post will help all understand the Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary Structure of an Enzyme. I'll end my post here and make posts after it for questions I have. Ok, lets talk primary here. The disulfide bond will just be between two cystein proteins I know that, and it will have to be inside the protein, just because of how it is, or can be outside too? Now, the salt bridge will also be hydrophobic (inside), because it would break apart if it was outside, right?

    downs syndrome

So I was right, DrDNA I'm going to construct a post on enzymes I like it if you would post on it.
  6. So I did get my points straight, thanx. I just did a lab with light spectrums in different plants. Through my discoveries they was evidently an oil smudge on the test tube. Making a hole(dip) in my graph. But however the chemical composition of all of them were similiar thus supporting elements have the same light spectrum.
  7. Well, I'll explain it more latter I got to get to class. Insane_alien or swantson might be able to help.
  8. Or does that mean it has very, very, very little effect? Considering also that light is effected by gravity, but it still not enough to see a difference.
  9. Furry is the name of my lovable puppy. Although he's 13 that doesn't matter. He can be quite brutal when killing, racoons, mice, birds, and squirrels. Not to mention, the occasional chicken, and rabbit.
  10. Ok, what about ions and anions? Well about the isoptopes. The number of neutrons would cause the electrons to interact differently wouldn't it? Because the amount of energy between the neutrons and electrons would vary. But would this not be enough to change the spectrum?
  11. You still need quite a bit of energy to get it started, but it wouldn't cause much resistance. This looks just like an electric motor in the way it works.
  12. Thus giving you different light spectrums. However, does isotopes also give different light spectra? Accordding to what you said it would.

    downs syndrome

I believe it has do with recieving extra genes for the same trait. If you have two confliciting genes they will cause a mutation. Mutations almost always work out for the worst causing brain malfunction in a down's syndrome child. However, I think I should look this up again. Anyone want to add more please do.
  14. Ahhhhhhhh! I see well, firefly doesn't rly make you a girl, but ok. I've been using extremes to show how your idea is completely wrong. Read the other posts. You can clearly see that pigs or animals don't have the right to live. The right is earned. Now try and see the picture from another side. Just remember, I'm A VEGETERIAN. You got it, so you see I'm very good at seeing their views even though I'm not a ominivore. Now try to logical support why you believe the way you do. The animals will suffer when they die whether it be by a shotgun or not. Most domestic pigs probably wouldn't live that long on their own. A predator such as a lion is way more brutal than a human.
  15. Iraq has been a huge pain in the neck for some time I think that U.S. should try and eliminate the rest of the terrorist. Well as much as possible. I also think that reestablishing their Gov. is good. Too many people think that it isn't, and that we should only care about our country. Now, if we follow their lead our country will probably make even more enemies when a country ask for help. The U.S. is the most powerful and I want it to stay that way. We should be the police of world. I'll write more latter.
  16. Yeah, but the large scale class change won't happen any time soon. However, I found it interesting how many accounts they had of species to species change. I thought the species were still able to reproduce, so I didn't think much of it, but somebody (don't remember who) showed that they weren't able to reproduce with other similiar species.
  17. I have to admit the country is becoming more apathetic through the years, and if it doesn't change we could get even deeper into our problems.
  18. Yeah, like we could ever make a line.
  19. It's late. I like your input foodchain. However, I'll have to look at your link tomorrow. Got a Bio Lab tomorrow. Measuring the activity of enzymes under certain conditions. Boy, I never that enzymes could be so neat. If any one has anything to add please do. Just make sure it isn't just off the top of your head.
  20. Yes, and the light clicks for you my friend. You see my point exactly.
  21. Ok, I will, but I think he's gone now. I wonder if knows that pigs will kill humans if given the chance. It happens all the time in other countries were the pigs will kill abandoned children. That in itself is enough to want to kill pigs. I also agree with the others. I'm not going to eat a 3 year-old kid.
  22. yes, I know, but if air resistence wasn't present. The bernoulli effect wouldn't work.
  23. Hey I wonder if you guys know I'm a Veggie'O'. Just because I think lots of meats are bland. Although turkey I like.
  24. Did you even look at what this guy was stating or are you a follower of him? Notice that I put "think" not "know in my final statement. I was trying to show him what's wrong with his beliefs.
