Who will be the first to go?
Trump already replaced his White House lawyer. Also today his pick for DEA withdrew from consideration. My previous mention of Hegseth seems likely to be announced within the next 24-48 hours and the chatter suggests his primary opponent Florida Governor Ron DeSantis may be the SecDef replacement nominee (or Iowas Senator Joni Ernst).

Did Trump Steal the 2024 Election?
But he will be before any investigation could find traction. By their nature, they take time. Maybe someone will investigate him in congress. Jamie Raskin comes to mind. I’m just not optimistic. Trump’s already beaten 2 impeachments, been convicted of 34 felonies, charged with national security crimes, described as unfit and dangerous by his former top aides and scores of people close to him, and yet here we are with him winning a second term and installing corrupt cronies to control the levers of power.

On the world-wide trend of anti-establishment voting.
Don’t be so sure. Most people are working from a 2 year old perception of models that get logarithmically better by the hour, and now models can even fix edit and improve their own code. We’re basically monkeys with iPhones, mostly hairless apes getting fooled by mental heuristics that were previously useful in the savannas but which clearly aren’t well adapted nor suited for handling modern technology and info-cultural ecosystems.

You’re not wrong, but that’s a different topic

Did Trump Steal the 2024 Election?
By who? Trump is in charge of the executive branch that does the investigations. He is installing completely subservient lackeys and cronies to head DoJ and FBI. He’s stacked the courts with favorable judges, including at the appellate levels. As a purely practical matter, given that republicans also won control of both houses of Congress, logistically who would own or drive (or even have authority to conduct) such an investigation? Maybe we can get Matlock on the case, or Perry Mason? Perhaps Columbo or the Hardy Boys?

That’s rather too simple and reductionist to be of much use as an answer IMO

Who will be the first to go?
I suspect SecDef nominee Hegseth will be next given stories of significant and serious alcoholism problems on top of stories about his own mother saying he was a horrible man (tho Trump a teetotaler himself looked passed drinking problems with Rudy Giuliani).

Who will be the first to go?
Will likely be simpler to name who will still be around at that time

They’re trying to get more returns on smaller investments. It costs less to pay the billionaires for access to their various rocket programs than it costs to fund government programs like NASA.

Who will be the first to go?
Check. Done and dusted. I was outvoted by the other side. What pray tell do you recommend I do next? I’ve already delivered on your previous recommendations yet here we are with the same problem still intact. Did you have a plan B?

I created a religion today
Aligned with your broader points, but this may not have been the best example. Often those with severe depression say screw the meds and actively avoid treatment for various reasons. Anyway, back on topic… there’s a lot of suffering in nature. Finding healthy ways to lighten that load is a good thing. The question then becomes whether or not beliefs such as these are themselves net healthy.

Trumps also planning to revoke the $7,500 EV tax credit, a program which among other things helps more manufacturers get a foothold in the EV vehicle market. Knocking down upstarts in this way also benefits Tesla sales as an established player.

Who will be the first to go?
Free market capitalism for everyone else, crony capitalism funded by tax payer dollars via massive government contracts for him and his various companies. You notice the jump in stock prices there immediately after the election of Trump. The shareholders agree Musk is going to get special treatment and that he’ll have help from the US DOJ when attacking competitor companies in court and filing nuisance lawsuits.

They’d buy it if I made it a cryptocurrency and called it bridgeCOIN, frfr

no free will = no reason to feel guilty
A terribly common dilemma on the topic of free will in basically all discussions and in all threads in basically all places outside of 2 post doc philosophers sipping midday latte in a cafe outside on a Tuesday.

Who will be the first to go?
He’s also in charge of building out what will likely be the largest AI in the world, one that will eclipse openAI and Microsoft and potentially even Meta and Google… and on that foundation he’s well perched to gets a fat government contract where it becomes law that US government can ONLY use xAI for their work (or some similarly lucrative terms).

On the world-wide trend of anti-establishment voting.
Perhaps paradoxically, that same technology where we find those facts is now serving us up content that is barely even fact-proximal. Hallucinations from transformers and nefarious droppings from troll farmers. The funny part is those with different opinions… they genuinely feel someone with only their own self interests and avarice for power at heart, the crook the coward the corrupt and bankrupt soul… is their best candidate to make their wants and desires a reality. I’ve got a bridge I want to sell them.

The candidates’ aliases on a poll
Would this imaginary Steve Jobs be a McCain Republican or a McCult Republican? And btw… apparently he was Democrat and voted for Obama. Anyway, back to the thread… Do you have any details about what policies Woz would be advocating on the D ticket? Any info on the policies necro-Jobs would be pushing for the Rs?

What does it mean for the US now? Like what does second term of Trump mean for the US now?
It’s not exactly an encrypted puzzle forever occluded with mystery

What does it mean for the US now? Like what does second term of Trump mean for the US now?
It allows him to give exemptions to his friends and people who support him while punishing those who didn’t or don’t.

It's also a nonsequitur fallacy from "I'm on post #2" Logos to suggest that all voters had one motivation. Yes, millions of racists voted for Trump. No, not all Trump voters are racist. Many buy into his businessman better for economy / will fix inflation with magic narrative. Some have a similar reaction to transgender issues that we saw years ago to gay marriage. Others still just want to see the system as a whole get dismantled. There is overlap in these groups, too... This isn't exactly hard logic. But yes, racism was also involved. Full stop. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Racial_views_of_Donald_Trump Try harder

You’re right. I can’t imagine how concerning it is watching from afar, primarily bc I’m forced to watch from within. Actually, I can imagine it from afar, too. It’s concerning from multiple perspectives.- Lichtman's 13 Keys to the 2024 Election

So wishful thinking and a book written by a ghost author. Got it. - Cuban Missile Crisis Hypothetical
