Is framing issues in terms of "men and women" necessary in the 21st century?
Except he didn't use it as a 'compound descriptor', but as three separate descriptors. As evidenced by And I said it didn't bother me. So, no, it isn't at all. We are not discussing my attitudes, but those of tour fellow citizens. Lets try to stay focused.

So how does graphing in more than three dimensions work?
There is no 'graphing' involved. You need n variables to describe the position of a point, in orthogonal n-dimensional space.

The blank spaces between the lines are just that, Phi. Don't read anything in them. I made my position clear. I am darker ( in the summer ) than most light skinned black people, and I am certainly not ( Roman Catholic ) Christian, although I do share some of their values. What I 'winced' at was the broad brush you used to paint two other groups the same color as Nationalists. Not all whites are Nationalists. Nor are all Christians. And in case you still don't get it, I'm not a Nationalist. ( In fact I' m not even from your nation; although I have visited often š )

Is the problem of Hell actually a problem?
The Bible and other Religious scriptures are not just moral guidelines, they are also a means of control, to empower the rulers ( religious or otherwise ) and control immoral ancients who survived by strength and weapons. The killing of offspring is not a moral guideline, but a means of control through a suggested punishment; same with the concept of heaven and hell. People forget that these scriptures were written thousands of years ago, and reflect values of their times; notice the big difference in tone between old and new testaments. The old preaches 'an eye for an eye'. the new offers 'turn the other cheek' instead. By all means, take the moral guidelines in the Bible that suggest you lead a good life that is compassionate and caring for others; disregard the rest as time reflecting nonsense.

Parameters of Theory of everything.
No. Starfleet's Prime Directive forbids that. And it is also just silly. More than 90% of members involved in this discussion don't even know what the terms in that equation mean ( myself included ); what use would it be to a primitive race ? If you meant 'fundamental difference between', then philosophy would tell you not to ask a dumb question like previous one, as it is useless. Of course. QM is probablistic; it makes amazingly accurate predictions. Or are you asking whether a ToE might resolve the probabilistic aspects ?

Is time getting faster?
Time certainly slowed don while I was reading this thread. Almost came to a stand-still on the second page, with one poster doing the equivalent of "I know you are, but what am I ?"

Is framing issues in terms of "men and women" necessary in the 21st century?
I was in no way offended by Phi's comment, as I mostly feel the same way. However, I suppose a small subconscious part of this non-believer still feels I belong to the 'white Christian' demographic. I suppose I still consider my values as 'Christian', although I don't believe everyone needs to share those values, or be punished for having different values. ( as long as those values aren't harmful to others ) I would imagine there are a lot of non-believers who feel the same.

I think you also misunderstood mine. It shouldn't matter whether visible or not; superficial differences should not be relevant, or have any importance. That being said, I also don't want my right to like, or dislike, people based on personal preference, to be taken away. I may not like the way you comb your hair, or the color of your skin ( very pale people freak me out ), But I will not show or communicate that dislike because you are a thinking, feeling person, and in that way we are alike; even though I don't have many faults for others to dislike ( š ) I'm sure you could come up with some.

Interesting magazine Joigus; thanks. A much more relevant article from that same magazine Whatever happened to the theory of everything? | symmetry magazine

I don't believe I mentioned anything about assimilation into the societal 'norm'. We are not Borg, we are people, with individualities, different looks, different beliefs and different yearnings. But in a lot of ways we are all alike; people who experience hurt and pain if treated unfairly or discriminated against. Even a white ( not so much, it's summer ) guy like me winces when Phi puts down white Christian nationalists, even though I lost any interest in my childhood Christian upbringing long ago. What makes us the same is that we are all thinking, feeling people. If we all remembered that we wouldn't notice the superficial differences. My point being that if people didn't judge others based on those attributes, others would not be facing those 'special problems'. You are trying to rectify the problem after the fact. Unfortunately there's nothing you or I can do to alleviate the suffering of slaves 200 yrs ago, or that women were chattel, to be traded ( never mind equal wages ), or that the God I believe in told me to kill all non-believers. All I can do is live as best as possible, right now, considering everyone else a thinking and feeling human being, so as to minimize those 'special problems' we currently face, and moving forward. And that is not an argument against Restitution; any problems currently faced by people should be helped in whatever way possible, but lets not pretend it alleviates the suffering of slaves, or women, centuries ago ( except in your own conscience )

Parameters of Theory of everything.
I would agree. A 'Theory of Everything' needs to deal only with the fundamental interactions and how they account for the 'reality' we measure and observe. I would not expect Maxwell's equations to be applied to Psychology, even though we know mental processes and states are governed by the voltages of electrical impulses in the brain. Similarly, I would not apply a 'Theory of Everything' to a rock fracture, even though we know that process is governed by a combination of gravity and electromagnetic interaction. Once complexity rears its head, the best we can do is perturbative computational analysis.

Mental health is not a gauge condition ( physicist will know what this implies ). IOW, how you measure, or your starting point, does not affect the assessment of it. It is an absolute; you have mental health or you have varying degrees of mental disorder. One more point ... It can also be argued that men and women, blacks and whites, straights and all the letters of LGBQT+, have different life experiences, and would need an education more suitable to those shared experiences. Who is in favor of bringing back segregation ? ( or should we be sharing those life experiences in order to better understand each other as people ) Most of the problems we have with gender, group color, sexuality and even religion stems from our tendency to make it an 'us vs them' issue because we don't recognize it as simply an 'us' problem.

IIRC, these regions of differential expansion/inflation are the result of symmetry breaking for that region, and, from A Guth's original paper on inflation, the boundary of the region would be a source of magnetic monopoles. None have ever been detected, and most question their existence.

Why isn't polygamy a norm in modern society?
It may be true for some animals, such as lions, where a 'dominant' male has several female consorts, based on his size and strength, as that is their evolutionary advantage. Our evolutionary advantage is, supposedly, our intelligence; not size or strength. That being said, intelligent, highly successful men do tend to have ( or can afford ) more mistresses ... ( does that count ? š š )

Is the problem of Hell actually a problem?
It is worse than that; it only controls the ignorant. They are the only ones that can be controlled by an imaginary construct. It is similar to telling little kids "Be good, or Santa Claus won't bring you any gifts at Christmas" Religion needs to stop treating people like little kids ! You do realize that 'omnipotence' means knowing how you will choose ?

Irrational motives for disbelieving in a God
I believe you have it backwards. It is rational, thinking people who have come to the conclusion that 'faith' is just an irrational emotion based on hope. Hope that some higher power will deal with your problems because either through ignorance, incompetence, or tragedy, you are incapable of doing so yourself. That being said, I don't begrudge people who need religion/faith; some people need a 'crutch' to deal with life's problems. I and many others, don't need such an emotional crutch, so why do religious people 'judge' me, and say I am destined to spend the afterlife, another imaginary, unverifiable, urrational concept in a place called hell ?

Can science find God
Science does not simply make sense, although there is a need for self-consistency. Science must be 'verifiable' to the extent that there has to be possible falsification. ( usually in the form of experimental evidence ) Religion, a 'faith', has no such requirement, and could not possibly come close to meeting any such requirement.

Parameters of Theory of everything.
A 'theory of everything' seems a little too ambitious. Keep in mind we don't have a viable GUT yet, that unifies Electroweak and Color interactions, and if we did, verification of such candidate theories would require energies that could only be achieved by a collider the size of the Moon's orbit. Then, one that unifies a viable GUT with Gravity, would require verification energies several orders of magnitude larger. And at those energy densities, you are simply creating micro black holes; not verifying anything.

Emergence and Uniļ¬cation in Hybrid Polar-Cartesian Dynamics: A Novel Framework
Different co-ordinates are used to simplify problems. First example that comes to mind is the 2nd order partial differential wave equation for the Hydrogen atom. Would be extremely difficult in Cartesian, but a switch to Spherical-Polar allows for separation of variables, and vastly simplifies the problem. Some co-ordinate systems may become un-usable in certain circumstances, making their use unsuitable, but under no circumstances should a switch in co-ordinates predict differing outcomes if either is suitable.

No, what do you suppose you would see when you get to the actual edge of the bubble ? If no answer makes any physical sense, then there might not be an actual edge.

What is the behavior of a magnet floating in a superfluid that rotates indefinitely?
ALL effects, including lack of viscosity, are quantum effects.
