  1. Wave Function isnt it?
  2. Enivronment i would say for the aforementioned allowance of guns. However maybe the US being such a powerful country has an influence? I was waching a phycological programme about how people become evil, when they have power, maybe a watered down effect towards Americans?
  3. You just employ somebody who isnt black, as long as you dont say its because they're black. Anyway why would a black person join the BNP?
  4. Heisenberg Uncertanty Pricipile. This postulates that (in around about way) we have energy fluctations of posative energy and negative energy on a micro scale. This does not affect the macro scale, unless you have a black hole inwhich case you have Posative energy photons and negative energy photons. So really you dont GET something from nothing, you get SOMETHING and the OPPOSITE which cancels it out.
  5. Hmm i see your point, but really i was talking about in the natural environment, and i havent seen any evidence of such happening.
  6. Does the Dove/ Hawk game come under the umbrella of Evolutionary Biology?

    PSU heat

hmmm thats odd i vaguely remember finding some large ones in an old PSU that i had, maybe it was because the PSU was so old, and inefficeint, so it needed a massive current!

    PSU heat

When i said beasty, i meant large current ones, i.e. the big blue ones, hence a resitor for a large current pumping out more heat than a smaller one for a small current.
  9. It was suggested else where that we should have the oppertunity to delete our own post. Also is there a way of emailing us when a post has been delted, because a few times i have thought that a post has been deleted, however i just posted it in a different thread that was similar. Cheers
  10. Evolution doesnt really take kindly on living longer, as it is fairly pointless unless your sexual'y active days are extended, and unless we lived life always sexually active (or animals did) it would have no affect on evolution. Example; 2 People, Geoff and Gary. Geoff will live to 60 Gary will live to 90 Geoff has kids at 40, and can no longer have kids at 50 Gary has kids at 40 and can no longer have kids at 50. In evolutionary terms, once over 50, these years are "wasted" as Gary, cant pass on any more genetic material on compared to geoff, even if he will live longer, as he cant have kids between 60-90.
  11. He has somewhat of a point, i take the following example of the ancient (I forget which nationality) Glass makers, even machines nower days, do not have the skills that they had, nor does any body that lives. I think some skills die out and i think you should watch what you mean by "Art", we think of painting, and Mokele, in that sense you are correct, as wel still do lots of painting, hence it hasnt died out, and your theory applies.

    PSU heat

Also on thinking about it; there are some pretty beefy resistors in a PSU. This could contribute some more heat.

    What circuit was it?
  14. I chose the last one. My fears are still with the pointlessness and danger (from disease to the animal) of an entirely cloned species. Incest would be another point to think about, with allsorts of deformaties lying there.
  15. The point i was making is that why should science be exempt? All your doing is handing monsanto and the likes a big tax break. I understand some scientific research is Governmetnally funded, but then it does not make sense to tax it, so i imagiine it probably isnt.

    PSU heat

http://www.silentpcreview.com/article227-page3.html This maybe of interest. As far as MOSFETs go, they do in my (limited) experience produce a lot of heat, in comparsion to other components, infact if you are using one in a circuit which isn't allready cooled, a small heat sink is a good idea for it.
  17. well we dont do it secretly over here, we call it the royal mint. Im pretty sure it would have adverse affects, otherwise they would have everybody doing it and charge them huge taxes.
  18. Look at it from this way; Using mathematical rules we can deduec Infinity. Infentily small must be 1/Infinity. If 9.9 going to infinity is infinitly close to 1 Hence 1-9.999999etc = 1/Infinty we know 1/Infinity = 0 hence 1-9.99999=0 hence 9.999999=1, its not nice, but deal with it, life isnt perfect.
  19. NHS maybe, education? even (wait for it) public services. Dont get me wrong im not any sort of socialist hell bent on sky high taxes (far from it) however I do not want to end up in a society such as America, and i quote; <Gilded> The American car "culture" is fun btw <ed84c> ?? <Gilded> My English teacher was an exchange student in America and when she walked from school to home people stopped and asked her if there was something wrong People in the US use pick up trucks that drive at 7mpg thats as much as a formula 1 car!
  20. The point i was making, which would have been far better if the link worked is that i think that it is rubbish, because i believe it is an april fools joke.
  21. Its not necisarily diversity that can cause violence, just two different groups of apposing people, whether ethnically, or gangs or whatever. Take bolton for instance, its not diverse, there are just 2 types of people "immigrants" and "british people", and as the immigrants are from the same country, they dont mix with the people that are living there and hence there is no understanding of each other. Unless people mix such as the example above, the people cannot integrate and understand their differences, and just like two rival tribes feuding, it is a fairly large likelyhood that violence will result.
  22. Ok this is different from the post that got deleted earlier, but there is a lot of relevent information through the following link http://www.scienceforums.net/forums/showthread.php?t=6641&highlight=fun+experiments
  23. ah, good point. However to what was atinymonkey reffereing?
