  1. I understand how carcinogens such polonium-210 can cause cancer through radioactive emmision, but what about non radioactive chemicals such as benzene. What properties do these chemicals have that cause them to be carcinogenic and through what mechanisms do they work?
  2. That wasn't Glastonbury 2004 by any chance?
  3. I think an interesting point is when chocoholics are given the opiate blocker Naloxone which is usually given to overdosing heroin addicts, they no longer crave chocolate. I suppose this suggests chocolate can be just as physically addictive as psychologically.
  4. I'm a really big fan of the Harry Potter books but I just couldn't watch the films with out getting really annoyed with the acting. Even though he's improved, Daniel Radcliff is still a crap actor. He has this one expression where his mouth hangs open for every emotion in the film. The other two aren't as bad but they still ruin the film for me.

  7. Interesting. I wonder if clomipramine and Histamines would be a good combination.
  8. Apparantly it's an anti depressant called clomipramine but only 5% of people have the whole yawn orgasm thing, while the rest have opposite effects finding orgasm harder to reach. Who knows though, may be you could be one of those lucky 1/20 people.
  9. AFAIK, anti histamines are often used as anti depressants so you would expect that a release of histamines should have the opposite effect.
  10. I think the whole Harry potter trio must drink, i mean how else can you explain such poor acting.
  11. Ah I wish that were true, I would have been having multiple orgasms all day. Interesting link though thanks.
  12. I agree, with drugs such as Lsd and mushrooms, even though there can be risks involved, they are always highly overstated by the media and it is hard to get a real perspective on the dangers of a drug. Personally I don't see the harm with an individual finding out the risks and then making an informed choice to take a substance. Many people choose to go mountain climbing or carryout any number of extreme sports, well aware that there is a chance they could injure or even kill themselves, but the difference is they are not breaking the law.
  13. At the moment I've got a really horrible cold and have been in bed for most of the day, however there is a plus side as I seem to be sneezing every minute which I enjoy far too much. Assuming that i'm not the only one that finds it enjoyable, do any of you know why sneezing is so good. I have often heard people say that sneezing is connected to an orgasm but I can't find anything to back it up. I'm assuming that there must be some neurological reason i.e. release of neurotransmitters but can't find any info. Anyway, any of you know why?
  14. The real definition of a stimulant is just a substance that increases teh activity of your sympathetic nervous system. Even though the majority have euphoric effects and or gives you energy, it is not that, that defines it as stimulant.
  15. Interesting thanks Actually after reading sunspots post I tried it myself and yes it does work. Kernels are damn hard to crush though.

    Gravity?

So gravity is a continous force, not quantized like E.M?
  19. Kurt was incredibly famous before he died, in the early 90's practically every teenager owned a Nirvana CD, he was like a God to some people.
  20. Hepatotoxicity where the liver fails is the main problem, but i'm sure there are other things as well.
  21. But when you are nevous, most of the time your body temperature stays the same, hence the term 'a cold sweat'.
  22. Not sure if they compare to the previous series but hilarious never the less.
