  1. You CAN have voltage without current OF COURSE. example all static voltages. (including lightning)
  2. V/Inf=0 --> V/Inf*Inf=0*Inf (both sides are undefined) Not --> V =0*Inf.
  3. LOL @ fafalone (You took that question serious.) It's actually a philosophical question.
  4. I think I will have to disagree with both of you: Question: Is blood still red when you are colour blind ??? (even when you don't have iron because your mam is using it)

    Physics

Just want to add that you also have conservation of angular momentum. (besides linear momentum) If you want the right formules go here: http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hbase/hframe.html
  6. I only want to address the relativity of orbiting, my own mass is the last thing I think about. Also I assumed that they were already orbiting. VendingMenace said it in an entertaining way.
  7. Assume two objects (with equal mass) in an empty universe. If I'm present on object A then B will orbit around me and if I'm on B then A will orbit around. Edit: I wrote this before I read the message of VendingMenace.
  8. Can you say that nature doesn't make a difference between the two only that they orbit/accelerate each other. Because the decision which object is orbiting which object is based on a third reference (frame). (that is obvioulsy a free choice of the observer) Is it possible to say that object A orbits object B more than the other way around? (assuming a reference frame was choosen)
  9. Does nature act on an other point of view or do you only experience it different from an other point of view. I assume nature never acts on a point of view and every point of view is different and all equally true. but if nature never acts on a point of view then how can the twin age be different at the end? There is no point of view to give them an equal age again. (twin age: about the twin paradox)
  10. Did someone already calculate if we have enough desert to do that? more practically would be what if there were a lot of small dust particals.

    the moon

The right question would be like YT2095 suggested: Are some moon rotation speeds more stable than others?
  12. yeah, it's a funny thing to keep people busy I only wanted to point out the difference between the two with some proof. Not to start a debate about the comparison with real numbers.
  13. First let me repeat that it's not my domain But maybe not going to her dad until she starts asking why she can't see her dad anymore or wants to see him. (of course the dad has to agree with that plan)
  14. Hi, I don't know but I can give some experiance with a dog. (Sorry the comparison) I just want to tell you that it could be something simple. Our two golden retreivers love to go away with the car because they know they will go to the forrest or sea or just a visit with new people, etc. They jump in the back of the car but a while ago we couldn't get the youngest one in the car and he was shaking on his lakes when we did put him in there ourself. And he was also very happy in the forrost, sea, etc. Some scary experience must have cought him when he jumped in the car. (we never knew what it was but eventually he learned again that it was save to jump in the car) Maybe she links the move with some scary thoughts. trying to figure out what it is won't be easy I guess. Why they don't live in one home isn't easy for a child to understand. That her mother is scared to sent her to her dad is surely increasing the effect. children aren't stupid. Just my opinion it's not my domain.
  15. This obvious rises the question: WHO told Einstein??
  16. The internet is handy when you have the question but not the answer. It isn't when you don't have the question. This doesn't mean you can't learn a lot from books/PDFs/(FAQs) by yourself.
  17. http://www.genetictraining.com/onlinecourse/word2000/word3/miscell.htm#t2 it isn't standaard installed
  18. You can do that in 'word' If I remember correctly.
  19. You probably meant it right but it's not the reflected light that is distorted. (although it changes a small bit after it passed our athmosphere a second time) It is the light that is traveling to the moon that is distorted by our atmosphere. It's a combination of filtering high frequenty/energy light and bending the light. (Same like red sunset, but with a reflection)
  20. You can use a rotating star chart. (but using it reversed) http://bj.canon.co.jp/image/papercraft/download/nature/starchart_e_a4.pdf

    Isaac Asimov

found with google (Asimov Most-Important-Scientists) http://www.malaya.com.ph/aug02/edkarga.htm
  22. A computer, monitor etc. are designed to keep the radiation inside. (away from you and other devices) Why is a cell phone not shielded? Shielding a cell phone would make it lose its basic function (communicate) http://www.brother.co.uk/our_products/tco99/
  23. No need to worry I will do the worrying for you About being famous I really don't like that idea. (I like to be the observer that doesn't interfere, maybe it will change) Maybe I should just stop it now. (just kidding) Brag to your friends about it ? Yeah I'm sure they will believe you. LOL (BTW you probably don't know my real name)
  24. Happy birthday. But it's a science forum so what is the statistical chance that fafalone isn't alone today on this forum? (There are currently 536 active members.)
