It is also explained that the Earth wants to travel linear, but is held by gravity in its orbit around the Sun. My question is, what Force, stops expansion or contraction of the orbit, the ? mark on the diagram , shows the area I am talking about?

http://www.scienceforums.net/index.php?app=forums&module=extras§ion=boardrulesHello everyone, First of all sorry if I make grammatical errors. Let me introduce myself: I am a person with a friend who has decided to establish an aerospace company. I know it sounds strange, but we have in mind several serious projects already do theory. It is well known that a company of the kind is cut out of the business of the market especially in a time like this, and especially when it comes to private sector in this area. Now, obviously, we are not officially a company simply because it speaks to something of passion, but we have some projects realizza…

Please I need help with these problem: A rectangular courtyard 8m by 6m has a rectangular lawn of area 12m^2 situated in it in such way as to leave a path x m wide all round the inside of the courtyard. Find the value of x. From the way, I represented the xm wideness all around inside the courtyard, it shows that the area the lawn=(8-2x)m by (6-2x)m = 12m^2 The area of only the lawn = 12m^2 The area of the courtyard = 48 48-12 = 36 The 36m^2 is what area? Is it area of the path?

I am in the 10th grade in IB chemistry and we are doing science fair this year (not limited to any particular area of science). I already have a general idea of what i want to do. I want to perform a project where I dissolve Vitamin E in water and then use that solution to water Radish plants and see what effect Vitamin E has on growth of plants. I already know that the IV will be dosages of Vitamin E and the DV will be the growth and development of the plants. And I already know that I need constants like same watering per day and same environment. But I need help on my 5 levels of IV. I know one is a constant that has no vitamin e and just water. But i am stuck on how i…

The question: " Mean=38.68, Standard deviation=11.42 Inside what interval is it guaranteed that at least 89% of the concentration observations will lie? " I solved for k in Chebyshev's rule equation: [math]100(1-\Big(\dfrac{1}{k^2}\Big))=89[/math] I get k= 3.015... So at least 89% of all data are within 3.015... standard deviations from the mean. The bounds are 4.247 to 73.113, rounded to 3 decimal places. The answer bound is (4.247, 73.113) and not [4.247, 73.113]. Why does it not include the boundaries?

Hello! I am currently a Senior in high-school! Every year, each student is required to do a science fair project to learn more about the scientific method. For Seniors however; we are suppose to make a 'planned' experiment. Which in other words: We don't actually need to do the experiment, we just need to make a solid argument on why a certain experiment we chose should be done, and what our expected results will be. Basically: How to convince people to give us grants. The school fair will be in February, and I would rather like to get a full head start on the project. Anyway, I chose to do something with Mass Drivers because I love space and human exploratio…

Hi I am doing a project about analyzing different trends on the periodic table using some data of the first 20 elements. I already graphed their data and answered all of the questions that I'm required to answer, but I'm stuck with this question because I'm not sure how to do it. Can someone help me? Thanks. Here is the question: Using graphical method or any other, estimate the atomic radius and predict a first ionization energy for Cesium.

hi I'm specialize on very and very very global stuff even to infinity... - as rule I'm dump in other places... so me question is how possibilities do we have to observe the sky to 135 billion light years ( in money and waist of earth resources ) I do my calculus and I know we have other closest universes in 60 billions light ears, but I don't know in what conditions they are ( small plasma ball, or small dining "black hole" and etc.. ) to have free observation and do free calculations I think we have to observate 135 billion light years. I hope on yours sirius answers, thank you.

I know that people add hydrogen peroxide to their laundry in order to clean their clothes better. How will the effectiveness of H2O2 change according to ice cold water, room temp water, and boiling water? Wouldn't it "denature" when the temperature is too high? Or would increasing the temperature be beneficial no matter what?

For the life of me I cannot remember how to do this type of problem. c = (100g) (4.180j/gc) (8.8c) / (127.50g) (64.5)c I changed the numbers around so that they do not match with any assignment I have. Could someone guide me here with an example? (You can change the numbers if you do not believe me)

ok, so im vary frustrated with this...please help me. i already know the answer, i just dont know how to get it. a trihybrid pea plant, having the genotype AaBbCc is self fertilised. all loci are unlinked. there is complete dominance at the A and B loci, but incomplete dominance at the C locus. the fraction of progeny that will be phenotypically diffrent from the parent is... the correct answer is 23/32. how do i get this answer? also here is another one im stuck on, phenylketonuria, a metabolic didorder in humens, is inherited a san autosomal recessive trait. a husband and a wige, noth hererozygous for the gene, plan to have six childred. what is the pro…

I am unsure of what a model actually is. From what I have gathered , it would be a diagram with added maths , that all fits together. I have tried an example and made a make shift model to see if this is what you mean. Space is equal to 0, 0 is equal to constant. 0C+CE=EC Zero is constant, add constant energy, equals an energy constant. Would this be a simple model? Or more on the lines of using Plank constants etc?

Dear all I’m studying quantum mechanics for my third year. I’m finding ladder operators a real struggle. Attached is a solution to an exercise. I understand that these operators cannot be swapped round, as they will have different results. However, I’m finding the solution hard to follow. I don’t see how or why the Hamiltonian operator comes into the right hand side and how or why it turns into a energy function. The other thing that’s confusing me is why the lowering operator is pulled out at the start of the solution then slotted back in. I would ask my lecturer but my year starts in October. I’ve nearly finished 2 textbooks back to back, would like the majority of …
