What is everyone's age and occupation(or what you spend most of your time doing)? I'm 19 and a sophomore at USF. I do some volunteer work and hope to go to medical school.

For the fans out there amongst you (of which I most certainly am one), the supposed title is behind the door that used to read "don't disturb" on J.K. Rowling's website. I won't tell you much more than that, but the name of the new book is behind it, and in the spoiler below: [hide]Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince[/hide] Personally, I think it sucks.

Math is fun because u can do things that you can't do in reality. ex.1) Assymtotes how in reality can one object approach another forever without the two objects meeting? ex.2) Negative Distance how can point A be closer to point B than point B is to itself?

Well, I'm sitting here at work looking at this lovely piece of hardware, and am brainstorming ideas on driving my coworkers insane. Any ideas? Bear in mind I work at an electronics manufacturing firm, so we can be a bit creative. Any input would be appreciated.

WARNING: If you are like me, you probably won't read this post. The 'why' of this is explained in this post. . . I'm a smart kid. I am now officially a drop out. I love life... Though on the bright side, my wife now has a job with a respectable firm, so relocating doesn't seem like so terrible an option. It would be great to stay and all, but I'm not going to watch her take a job in no way related to her degree just so I can piddle around.

What do you guys listen to? Myself, I listen to classical music (more specifically baroque, classicism, and romantic), Rock (led Zeppelin, Bad Religion, the Ramones, AC/DC, Rage against the Machine).

blike makes Sayo an admin, which is clearly a slap in the face to me, and he tells me it's temporary to implement some discussed changes to the site. Sayo does something outside of that scope, so I deadmin (not demod) him pending clarification of what/why he was supposed to be doing. He posts a disrespectful remark about it. I miss the times when we had gigantic debates about things like evolution. People like danmoore80, for example, argued about this for weeks. But now we only have one or two of these people. And, taking extrasense for an example, they don't put up much of an argument. So... why don't we get some interesting discussions going around here?

This has happened twice to me: I come on to the forums, and all the posts from the day before all the way to the 8th are deleted. I post a thread about it... but nobody is ever on. Then, the next day, I come on and everything is back to normal, and there are posts from the day before that I never saw! And the thread I posted about it was deleted... I am using both Firefox and IE, and no, I'm not working offline. What could be happening?

Lets all upload a picture of our lab whether it’s fully loaded or the corner in your bedroom. I just cleared out a spot in the basement complete with lots of extra room for testing. I still haven’t started moving things down though.
