This was brought up in a thread earlier: http://www.scienceforums.net/forums/showthread.php?t=5124&page=2&pp=20&highlight=shields and I know that, so don't reference me to that. But, in that thread the subject was ignored and then the question I want to bring up wasn't answered- and I don't want to revive an effectively dead thread. Anyway.... In the future, when shields as we see them in sci-fi movies would be possible, I see three main types of weapons: gauss rifles (rail guns, gauss cannons, whatever) with magnetized rounds, explosive propelled projectiles (missiles), and lasers. We have lasers now that have destructive capabilities, it doesn't take mu…

hey man, i tried to PM you and it said that: "budullewraagh has exceeded their stored private messages quota and can not accept further messages until they clear some space." so clear up your inbox!!!!! what i wanted to say was: "can you just re-read this post: http://www.scienceforums.net/forums/showthread.php?p=120564#post120564 (by me) and answer it, im guessing that as we posted at similar times it wasnt there when before you typed your post.... this is all assuming no one else answers it before you're next online! thanks, jonathan aka 5614" i know that's almost bumping a thread but once a post becomes older people tend not to read them and …

I am a twenty-three year old male that is currently living in Montreal. I would describe myself as an eccentric self loathing, depressed human being. I dropped out of high school when I was sixteen. I never had a job. I only leave my apartment when I have to. I am currently on medication for depression and social anxiety disorder. Fortunately I was able to make a substantial amount of money from selling things on EBay and making some wise investment decisions. Unfortunately I spent most of the money that I made in a futile attempt to find happiness. I have reached a point where for the first time in my life I am having real financial difficulties. I think the money that I…

I am 55, been there, done that, got every kind of shirt you can imagine. I f*ked up, big time. Regardless, I made my life worth living. I don't know how much I can improve your life, but I am willing to give you perspective. Honest to God, from my own experience, perspective. Now - you must realize that from "my own experience" doesn't mean that it is right for you. You have to decide that for yourselves. I will tell you that my own mother lived to be 95. She had a marvelous mind and she taught me sooooo... very much. She died last year and I wish I had her with me now. When I was in high school, she said the same things, but I didn't listen. When I…

I've just got the game and installed it... for player name it wont let me put 'Jonathan' because its too long!!!! so i've just put 5614 instead. its a bit different from the first, seems quite good, one review said 40 hours game + unlimimted internet multiplayer. my first impression: quite good, fun, (outta easy, normal, hard) im finding normal mode quite easy, so if you want a challenge (and you're good at this type of game) - you'd better set it on hard mode before you start.
