Sportsman advertising a Synchrotron

Featured Replies

I'm sure it's not just an Aussie thing, having retired sportsmen and women advertise everything from holiday destinations to cars.

The Aussie comedy program "Thank God You're Here" decided to try something a little different. What happens when a medium pace bowler talks about a synchrotron?:D

PS. How do you get the embedding thingy to work?

Nice, and NO... it's not just an Aussie thing. We get all sorts of people advertising crap about which they know nothing. It's a strange phenomenon, indeed.

Although, I can't say that I've ever seen a television ad for a particle accelerator... that was a pretty curious approach for the joke. :D

You wrap the video ID into YouTube tags. So, the basic syntax is this:

videoID # here

So, using the video you shared as an example, the code would be:

N_zbySqumaA

...and that would render thusly:

N_zbySqumaA

Cheers. :)

That's hilarious! Did Fleming know the commercial wasn't for real?

In the US, we use celebrities a lot to push products. I think it's the idea that a familiar face is more trustworthy, rather than the celebrity being knowledgeable about the product.

From looking at youtube, the show has spread to both the US and the UK, I guess they just haven't put this part in yet.:D

I can't stop laughing! make it stop. I love the humour, you don't seem to really see that here.
