Negative dimension / antispace

Featured Replies

Can there be a set with fewer than zero elements? If so, then there can be negative-dimension spaces.

First, what do you  mean by "dimension"?  You seem to be using the word in a way that make no sense to me!

Mathematics is flexible.    You can define such concepts, such as negative dimension or sets with a negative number of elements and do what you want with them.  It would be very hard to give them any physical meaning.

A universe with more or less than three spatial dimensions would be unstable. We'd also see the effects of such opposition if it existed. Do you have any evidence such a thing exists, or were you just wondering?

Distances are always positive.  Negative distance doesn't make sense.
