Swimming and runny nose

Featured Replies

Why is it that every time I go to the swimming pool I have a runny nose and sneeze for the next hour or so??

It surely has something to do with the temperature change .

i used to have all these issues too , i had to eat a lot of antihistamine medicines during my teens , then one day i discovered Otrivin nasal spray and everything went away .

Surely, nothing. Could be temp. Could be an allergen or plant in the area. Could be the chlorine. Could be the sun. Could be that he always eats spicy peppers raw on the trip there.

Maybe take a benedryl next time before and see if the effects persist (just beware the drowsiness they cause). If that helps, you know it's a histamine response and it can generally be treated with OTC allergy meds.
