  1. Must be looking with the opposite eye and brain is selecting the second eye's input to discard. Optometrist could give more insight. Lucky with those Magic Eye stereograms. I've never been able to get them to work for me.
  2. You pay 0.0002, probably a bit more if there are any fees. It can go down to 8 decimal places at the moment.

There's single stranded DNA viruses out there. Possibly holdovers, though evolution dropping a strand to reduce size is logical as well.

We should go back to circular dna and call it a day.

Today Iearned if you take the first initial from the months July through November, they spell out the name Jason.

Though a falling banana didn't set Henry Cavendish on the path of weighing the planet, his family would later lend their name to one. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_Cavendish#Biography https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Cavendish,_6th_Duke_of_Devonshire#Other_interests

  8. Sweat has water. Different hygiene products are scented as well.
  9. There's Ternary and above. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three-valued_logic There's Gödel's incompleteness theorems to consider, so I'm not sure this gets us anywhere new.
  10. How did the elephant cross the streams? It didn't. Only humans are crazy enough to cross the streams!
  11. Pandora, they are also known for their music and jewelry selections.
  12. Non-boolean logic exists. Can you concisely explain your idea?
  13. Rigorous testing may be required to validate results
  14. Dare I ask what that is about?
  15. House of Leaves up next: S.
  16. that clip never gets old
  17. Read "This Census Taker" recently by China Miéville. Still unsure if it was his most normal or least normal book. Good read; though, if you've never read his works before, don't read it first. Did capture the feel of taking census perfectly. Did it this latest time. Questions of dubious logic, illegible writing, incredible shows of trust and more frankly rational suspicion. Loved it, as much a roller-coaster ride as the job itself.
  18. Maybe look at publishing an ebook? Main thing is to edit and consider how to promote sales if independent.
  19. Good one. Family laughed too.
  20. Pretty cool, I had never heard of using trees for defensive purposes. Makes sense though.
  21. Just started. A real page turner though.

It is still sexual reproduction. All that is concerned with is the sperm and the egg meeting. Doesn't matter how. Look at different species out there. Many simply release theirs en masse into the world at large. Looking only at your genetics nobody would be able to tell you from one your 'artificial' people. Major difference would lie in the environmental aspects of development. Initial immunity, food preferences, etc. Even that we could randomly vary or ideally prepare the next generation to specific issues/threats.

  24. Reading China Miéville's the City & the City. A crazy setting with two cities existing unseen around one another. Do some digging and find there's a whole area within my own city I didn't know about... What the?
