  1. Nobody knows. He was accused of sodomy, but he was accused of many things. Why do you want to know, anyway?
  2. I can't think really, there is probably a lot. After Skiing the same route back to the Chalet for 13 days, taking a short cut that lead over a 40ft cliff. Letting a guy break my nose, while he was trying to hit my friend, rather that start a fight. I was very drunk. Sliding down a long rail down some stone steps and, losing my grip and swinging upsidedown, rapping the back my head on each step. Quite drunk, again. Drinking Smoking
  3. Although I don't respect or agree with your position, based as it is on misplaced patriotic idiocy, it's a discussion for a separate thread.
  4. Good, you seem to appreciate the problem with your theory. Money, by definition, must be worth something. A keen grasp on economics is not required to spot the problem here.
  5. So, what you are saying is that you don't understand the UN's position in preventing War? Nobody taught you about the 1st and 2nd World War, and you have no concept of methods of prevention put in place? Perhaps you aught to start a thread to ask what the purpose of the UN is, rather than assuming you don't need it.
  6. Money that's worth nothing? Not a sound economic principle, I'm afraid.
  7. The system you are suggesting is crude communism. Other than that all 'share the wealth' ideologies are inherently flawed. If you share out the cash across the world each person would get around £247.
  8. For info: - I think it's a good system. It's quite fair and forgiving to casual infractions, and gives a suitable level of detail to the offender. It also gives as clear line of responsibility for the warning, which should help keep petty arguments about decisions off the forum, consigning complaints to the PM system. It's certainly better than previous systems, which didn't assign the responsibility for issuing warnings to any of the forum staff.
  9. It already is a Superpower. Has been for years. Economists predict it will outstrip the US in 12 years time, becoming the single largest economy, country and armed force in the world.
  10. I've actually been to that hut. It's just got one wooden spur on the veranda that looks like it's sloping down when it's not, so the marble rolls in what appears to be the wrong way. Fairly crap, to be honest.
  11. Do the what to the who now? Are you pro or con?
  12. He's an officer, so there is not a good chance of that. Infantry fight on the front lines, not the officers, due to the relative importance in the chain of command. If officers are killed in action, it tends to affect the efficency of the amred forces.
  13. Her majesty Queen Elisabeth II, you republican rebel.
  14. No, that was a good enough source to underpin your point. I'm aware that the Palestinian Isamic community has been recycling Nazi propaganda for years, going so far as to teach children the Nazi views on the Jews. However, it's just a Palestinian problem and is not prevelent in the Middle East. Also, it was not triggered by 9 / 11 and has been a problem since the 1950's. I think you generalized a little to much , but it's an interesting point.
  15. That makes sense, and explains why the great photographers are male and female equally. However, I was thinking more of fine art and sculpture when I referred to motor skills. That's simply indicative of the dominance of men in the arts. Female artists would have male muses, and male muses would be more prolific if female artists were prevalent in the arts.
  16. Source? What links the Middle East to New York? Were book sales affected in America after the west bank peace treaty?
  17. I've wondered about this too. Women can and do display finer motor skills, and yet there are only a handful of great artists who are female. It cannot be because of a lack of artistic ability or opportunity, literature sets the great writers and poets on an equal footing despite gender and both sexes produce comparative qualities and amounts of work. Maybe it's just men prefer more practical and large application of talents, to show off what they can acheive, so it's good old male ego that drives the great painters and sculptors.
  18. Fristians sounds like a new brand of turkey burgers, low in fat and high in fabulous taste. Fristilicious O_o
  19. Hmmm. No evidence? Out of the billions of Americans the son of a Senator becomes President, his first born become a Senator and is followed into presidential office almost immediately by his second son (against the popular vote). That's democracy in action is it? Seems a little fishy to me. But hey, I guess thats what you get from a MTV Democracy.
  20. Prince Harry joined the military. It's not a military School he's been sent to, he signed up for the Army and has been sent to Sandhirst for Officers training. He's become a career solider. Prince Harry has joined the Army to defend his country. Most male members of the British Royal family take positions in the armed forces, it's traditional. As there is a chance he will become a commander of the armed forces, he's obliged to become a solider so the position is not just ceremonial. If you want to laugh at something, laugh at President Bush. A deserter who became head of the US armed forces. Don't laugh at the teenager who's giving up a life of luxury and power to serve in the Army and earn his place in society.
