  1. My "Web Root" anti viral system that came from Best Buy with my computer has suddenly started holding my sound system hostage. It continuously makes a loud beeping noise and flashes a warning telling me the subscription runs out in a few days. Best buy says it cannot be turned off unless i buy a new subscription... Or delete the program, but if i delete i no longer have anti virus protection... choices choices...

That's anti virus protection for you. To be truthful I don't use antivirus systems and i've never had a problem. Unless you download things alot from unprotected sites it shouldn't be a worry. Even then I've never had a problem.

You have Win10, use Defender which is already there. I've used nothing else since MS Essentials came out; never had malware. No need need for third-party AV anymore.

To get rid of it. Type 'Add' in the Search box > Select Add or Remove Programs > Clickon the program' entry and click 'uninstall' > Follow the prompts. When you've done that type 'Defender' and enable it then lt it down load the latest definitions.
