  1. Sorry, I'm a bit tipsy, on the edge of Germane, so too speak, please don't mistake it for noise...
  2. Sorry, missed that...
  3. It doesn't stop there, why not both?

  5. Potatoes, potatoes... 😉
  6. Don't you believe there is no such thing as God's? I know I do, but neither science or me can be sure of that, so we're left with belief; besides I've never said science = religion, I may have said science is your religion; you've done nothing, so far, to assuage that opinion.
  7. You must have missed this post. Along with most of my other post's, including this my last...
  8. Tag you're it... 🙄
  9. An example of outlier's that can't be taught or corrected, is an excuse to brush every criminal/them under the carpet, and a reason for Hitler to kill so many people. Justice is about how you'd want to be treated; if you accidentally become a criminal.

A good idea is a good idea, no matter when it was written...

And once again a good idea, is turned into a religion.
  12. I'm an atheist, trying to explain religion rationally; I believe that's germane to the topic. Right back atcha, it's only your bias that prevents a good view... 🙄 God = concept not reality: religion = culture: science = method and atheism = belief.

The birth of a dragon, is still a dragon

Killing from a distance, is the aim; it has no impact on the soul...

I don't care, I'm just daring to think what you think is unthinkable, neg me all you want... A bigger one???

Don't know why I should but yeah I don't feel persecuted And now you are making this bold accusation that require at least an explanation If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem... 😉 Depending on the size of the stick... 🙄

I'm guessing you're not feeling persecuted, but enabled to persecute...

It's not the root cause though, he could just as easily, do the same damage with a knife or a big stick he picked up on the way there. What causes a peasant to pick up his pitchfork and march on the Manor House?
  19. "I am justified. For I chose wisdom and the knowledge of good and evil; and now there is no evil; and wisdom and good are one. It is enough.“ — George Bernard Shaw

He was certainly guilty of shooting 3 people, he was certainly guilty of going somewhere he didn't need to go, with an assault rifle he didn't need to carry, he was certainly guilty of being a spoilt little kid acting out his fantasy's. But apparently that's OK, you can actively seek out situations where your probably going to be threatened and stand your ground.
  21. Only to you, since you haven't explained. Arrogant much, they knew everything they needed to know about the world they lived in, it's like calling my grandad primitive because he can't use the internet. So, god = bad and science = good, got it; atheism mean's good then, simple. Just to be clear, I'm not arguing against science, I'm using science to investigate old ideas.
  22. https://plato.stanford.edu/entries/plato-ethics-politics/ Socrates attests that akrasia does not exist, claiming "No one goes willingly toward the bad"
  23. Your rejecting the idea that some people, including scientist's, need to be, or can be, taught a good moral compass (we're not all born with it); no wonder you're out of your depth with the question of justice.
  24. This is the rest of my post, you know, the important part that you ignored. This is a throw away line, note the smilie: The reality is, you can only see if your scientific model is acurate, after the experiment's data is seen ie. hindsight.
