  1. You should make a blog

  2. I believe they mainly need to cool the magnets, though I'm probably wrong.
  3. Yes, Einstein did, but that thought experiment made sense. This one doesn't. It doesn't apply to what Alan is currently arguing,
  4. Yes, saying it's a strategy sounds really manipulative. Delusion can be useful, but not when it's deliberately done. I can't really explain myself more than I already have, it just seems like it's taking advantage of someone when relying on delusion.
  5. You're most likely correct, so thanks for this explanation. I still wonder though; what causes the actual nightmare? As in; why is a nightmare that is associated with the paralysis?
  6. He's just making untrue assumptions based on his shortcomings, don't bother getting aggressive, Psycho.
  7. So because I bought RAM from a different manufacturer it's running slowly now? But it worked perfectly the day I installed it...
  8. I think all of us (except Alan) basically hold the same viewpoint. His view is rather close-minded and based on assumptions, while our opinions are based on actual experiences. (I just realized that most of what I said is an assumption...uh oh...)
  9. To answer questions: It has the correct MHz, and is supposed to work with the clock. "Supposed to"... I will try removing it and seeing if the errors go away. I did two virus scans, and it got nothing. No malware, spyware, greyware, etc. I have four slots for RAM, and since two were used, I put it in the third slot, so I don't really know what you mean by 'mistmatched'
  10. Well, lately I've been having some computer trouble (which is part of the reason of why I haven't been posting in a while), and I can't figure out why it's happening. I upgraded my RAM, so now I'm up to a measly 1.5 GB. This is where I started getting trouble. After I put in the chip, I turned on my computer and it gave me a message saying 'Diskette Drive 0 Failure'. After about 5 seconds, this message goes away. The first day I upgraded RAM my computer was running faster than I had ever seen it (I could actually run BioShock on all high settings, and getting at least 40 FPS). The day after it was significantly slower, and the day after that more slow, and today I can barely run BioShock on medium settings. So the first of my problems is how disturbingly slow my computer has become. I de-fragmented twice, and it hasn't really made any noticeable difference, I cleaned out unused registry entries (no difference), and I'm not really sure what to do next, or why it's slow in the first place. Well, that's about all for now. It's good to be back on SFN
  11. Indeed. I for one always had trouble grasping the distances in Space. When I got to 8th grade, it all clicked after a lot of reading, research, and discussions with my science teacher. Not everyone can imagine, but if you get the right background, and if you out a lot of effort into actually trying to get it, it all will make sense. I'm living evidence of that.
  12. Seems like all of these dreams involve 'something' sitting on your chest. And so far almost every description is rather terrifying. I wonder what the reason is for the sensation of something on your chest. Perhaps it has to do with the constriction of muscles due to stress, and it manifests itself in a disturbing dream? Hmm... Does anyone have any ideas?
  13. I'm sorry, I was going to write a response, but then I realized that I just have no idea what he was going on about...

    iTunes

iTunes? Pah! Use Windows Media Player, it's much easier, and less picky than iTunes.

    charge

Doesn't spin also have something to do with it?
  16. Good idea Phi! Build it, and then get back to us on the results.
  17. You're right, I'm pretty sure that was figured out a while ago...
  18. Entropy is just disorder in the Universe caused by motion (Heat!). I don't see the problem. What about Quantum Mechanics...
  19. Ah iNow got here ahead of me...in the case of friction, that is. I didn't really think that entropy mattered all that much, can you explain why entropy would work against perpetual motion? I don't think that I understand what you're trying to say...
  20. Okay, see, now you've just over-qualified yourself as a 'toal n00b'. Not cool. Not cool at all.
  21. 'Re-defeat Communism'

How amusing. Seriously though, it's funny. And sort of true...
