  2. Nature doesn’t care what you believe (nor whom you ignore)
  3. I have never had any problem with you, MigL, nor Intoscience. I just push against you hard when you’re wrong.
  4. All senses basically start with electromagnetic interactions and build in complexity from there.
  5. I don’t use the ignore list. Exposure to different viewpoints is important to me.
  6. My wife may just be a member here as your upvote got erased. Lol
  7. Ignoring one individual poster contributing in bad faith should NOT be conflated with “ignoring and not even considering alternative viewpoints.” This should also go without saying, but here I am saying it.
  8. I reckon the best approach is to ignore Jez, accept that he’s not now nor ever will be an ally in this effort, and for the rest of us to just move along. He’s simply demonstrated himself to not be worth the effort or time. Yes, I know I’m not a perfect being. I don’t care. Arguing with fools takes our eye off of improving lives, which is how we get eventually more perfect in our union.
  9. That if a man speaks in the forest and his wife isn’t around to hear him he’s still wrong.
  10. Perhaps for you from your pompous privileged perch, but not for others… Others whose family persistently and pervasively suffered from a shoe store full of jack booted oppression. Never mind the machinery of the state being used by white male land owners in government legislatures and courts and various related positions of authority to redirect opportunity and hyperpunish microaggressions. Never mind the way authority was wielded like a weapon against communities and families based solely on the color of their skin, and how despite being less overt and less appalling those same things still occur essentially everyday even today. Across economic sectors and across generations… across regions and across financial classes and casts… different treatment across the entire system enacted by the very government proclaiming loudly to be there as representatives of their best interests. But sure… the REAL victims are those who voluntarily and with positive intent “talk” about it. Okay, yeah. You’re not arguing in bad faith at all… You poor soul… have you had to engage in intensive psychotherapy for all of the trauma that’s been foisted upon you? Shall I share the number for the suicide hotline just in case? I see you. Now… cue the off-topic barbs and distractions and focus on… look, SQUIRREL!!!
  11. The only thing here that’s hard is convincing otherwise extremely intelligent individuals that merely stopping the recurrence of new injuries isn’t generally enough to heal injuries and wounds already previously caused.
  12. He’s just Gish Galloping you anyway
  13. Because being in a minority is often hard. Indeed. I’m genuinely happy to have FINALLY convinced you and to have moved your commentary thankfully AWAY from your previously heels dug far more foolish unrespectable espoused position of: Were it not for the pushback from me and others here, NONE of us would’ve benefited from your 17 paragraph freshman philosopher level treatise on the intricacies of “neutrality” nor cringy stalkerish at-ing and tagging and repeated mentions of me personally by name… as if, Me… I’m the problem… it’s me? See. It’s win/win. We’re all better now for it. Even got to throw in some Taylor Swift there at the end. You should be thanking me, but you don’t have to. You’re welcome.
  14. Saudi Arabia should announce that the next/very first LIV/PGA joint golf tournament will be held in Ukraine. China should then follow-up by announcing they’re sending Li Haotong and Shanshan Feng (their top male and female golfers) to compete in it and they expect their people and diplomats to be safe regardless of where on the planet they happen to be traveling. Finally, to seal it and ensure peace for generations to come, billionaire Formula One owner, John C Malone, should announce Crimea as the location of the next annual race in the Grand Prix circuit. tl;dr - Money’s gotta end this. We can’t allow more Hiroshimas nor Nagasakis to force surrenders.
  15. Is reading comprehension a problem for you, or are you instead implicitly accepting my underlying premise that you, despite your repeated protests, are NOT in fact neutral?
  16. Though it could AND would have if only he had a (demonstrably) valid point and weren’t so self-evidently FOS
  17. Excuse you? I’ll go one farther and thank you! Hell, I’ll even fist bump you for the neg reps you tossed my way 🤙🏼 Horeshit. We often find that 3rd party observers might comment on situations without themselves being directly impacted stakeholders, but “neutral” objective automatons without bias or predispositions they/we are not. In situations involving systemic racism especially, even passivity itself becomes an active choice. Either stand with or stand aside, just please stop standing in the way all while whining and martyring yourself as if you’re the goddess Justitia incarnate.
  18. Or… if they see and acknowledge the rot, but just happen to like it that way so instead argue in bad faith.
  19. In my experience, those who assert forcefully that they’re neutral tend to be anything but. We all have biases. Pretending otherwise makes you a liar or a fool.
  20. Lol. They barely even try anymore
  21. Duwut, now?
  22. And neither India nor China would be down with that given how winds blow.
  23. Russian took down a damn in Ukraine yesterday. It will result in flooding and make it harder to cool the upstream nuclear plants that use that water for temperature control of the rods.
  24. Absolutely true, yet here the injustice can be found even with easy looking, a mere passing glance confirms it’s there, strain and effort not required. The injustice under discussion here persists even when our eyes are closed, and is across generations.
