  1. Has Putin attacked Poland? Pre Ukraine war how would that be perceived? He testing, proving, testing. This bastard needs glassing. Does that mean I die, my mum, sister son and niece? Unfortunately yes. A Neo Soviet Union under that despot is too horrible to imagine. "The West" as it was through is no longer. We have a madman as CIC of the US, and the UK has left the EU. A mess.
  2. z= 32 has been cited in one paper (I'll find this) Is this number correct? First and formost. What is it? Models to explain it will come later I would have thought. Have a look at Penrose "Hawking points" and his CCC model.
  3. You worked out the maths of the inclined wheel, good on you. Do you want immediate answers or do you want to learn something? Learning is hard, takes time and effort. Ai is great for info like wiki, as a substitute for hard slog it will make you lazy. I am victim of this using "spellcheck" in "word" and "outlook," twenty years of using this tool has reduced my ability. Calculators do the same thing, fantastic for quick sums but can you still do this from scratch by hand? How about in your head? Or as an approximation?
  4. You are not doing any thinking and you are not working anything out regarding your written English your Ai is. If I sat Infront of you and spoke to you, asked you questions, debated you on a topic but then read your posts, I could work out this out pretty quickly.
  5. The questions are, are these objects at the Z value claimed? What are these objects? PBH? Population 3 stars? Early (earliest) galaxies or some other early objects? Could they be an artifact? If an early object, how did it form so quickly? BB Cosmology is silent on T=0 so big bounce and other cyclic models are not part of this discussion. From memory, Penrose's proposed Hawking points for his CCC model were not well received but there are posters and mods on here who answer with far more expertise.
  6. Would we not have just one view of Jesus then if that was the case? All that is conveyed is words, the context is never conveyed, the context is the people, the house, the market place, the conversation over the bushes.
  7. Can you give an outline?
  8. Have they not ruled out known inorganic pathways?
  9. These are commutative properties. A+B = B+A Google it and you will the algebraic explanations. You bad man.... When you start dealing with matrices these things do not necessarily commute so it is good that these distinctions are stated. At least he is asking questions. I'll just add this https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commutative_property
  10. There was this too. https://phys.org/news/2025-09-potential-biosignatures-ancient-mars-lake.html We have had a few red herrings previously so this might not pan out but I agree with you. We are looking for life in our solar system because we can but that is a tiny fraction of our galaxy. Our solar system is light hours across and the galaxy is 100,000 light years across. The observable universe is 98 billion light years across containing 10^23 stars so even if life chemistry is ridiculously difficult to get going, the universe has a lot of chances to make it work. JWST is looking for particular life signatures around exoplanets, I've posted on this previously. We know deep space can just synthesize organics, from analysis of materials that fall to earth in the form of meteorites and from samples recovered from asteroids. I think ET is out there, somewhere, it would be cool if he is intelligent and friendly and fancies a visit. If he is hostile, aggressive and ruthless I hope he is light years distant.
  11. No evidence has been found regarding extra dimensions at the LHC since it was switched on in 2008. I think extra dimensions and supersymmetric particles were on the science goals list besides the Higgs. Only the Higgs was found out of those three.
  12. You implied oral tradition is reliable, then said it isn't and now you are implying it is again.
  13. If you are thinking of gravity as a force then that force falls off proportional to the inverse square of the distance. So your mile long steel balls are not affecting balls further away, the longer the chain the less significant the force. The fact the steel balls are small then the mass in the gravity equation is also small.
  14. Yes, these were normal people telling stories about Jesus, some of them would have been eyewitnesses but probably not many of those still around by the year 70 when Mark was penned. A less again with the other books, 80-95CE.
  15. Ok but you said No reason why that that had to be the case and the differences in the Gospels tell us that was not the case w.r.t. the details. You also said. These were not human truths, they were often miraculous stories about the Messiah. The constitution was mentioned. Say instead of being signed in 1790 the people just agreed on it verbally and spread the word.Eventually someone wrote it down forty years later, how would the 1830 written version compare to the verbal agreement of 1790?
  16. Bart Ehrman cites studies on oral tradition that shows stories change. Not just because people get mixed up and forget details which happens, but because the speaker would want to emphasize a particular point, or change a detail according to the audience. The Gospels should tell you that.
  17. The UK can operate independently of the US if I am not mistaken. Subs. An attack on the Ukraine would be a strike on the west. I hope the response would be a nuclear response.
  18. No. Oral tradition does not work like that and it is nothing to do with mathematics. There are lots of contradictions in the synoptics that were written within 20 years of each other.
  19. I don't think analogy is the way to go with this kid of thing, we are already discussing equations and terms.
  20. The format looks Ai, was there a question in there?
  21. The subject of the thread.
  22. Science changes over time as new data comes in and theories are developed yes. Yes physics is the attempt to understand the universe. Yes there is the thing we want to work out, gravity and the attempt to understand it, the Theory of gravity.
  23. I know I'm in the minority on this. My problem I think is that I read Lord of the Rings when I was too young and read everything else when I was too old, fantasy wise. I just ended up making comparisons. I think if I would have read "Hitchhikers" when I was older I probably would not have given it a fair chance.
