  1. I met another one today. An intelligent, normal looking guy, physics PHD, worked in CERN, no wife no children, no financial problems, convinced he's a looser, depressed and on the virge of suicide. Morons run around this world happily smiling knowing everything and valuable people are dying out in front of us. WTF is happening.

Sounds like the guy is in a rut. He needs to change his life around and get out of the rut. Life is not a practise run, if it aint working for him he should change it, not end it.

  2. I think there should be a seperate sub forum titled "vicious circle subjects" for the following subjects: Is there God? , Is abortion ethical? Is suicide ethical? And all politics.

We can discuss those topics in Ethics and Politics forums.

Or, we can just move them over to the "These discussions will NEVER end" sub forum like koti suggested.

The answers are dependent on who's talking about them; there are no objective ones.

  3. If I know from experience that I will suffer afterwards if I cut in some realy hot peppers into my spaghetti tonight and I'm still gonna do it, does this fall into some kind of mental condition? :P

The effect afterwards is quite something. I've had a tindaloo curry and it's just mind-blowingly hot... it's almost like a drug.

  4. It's astonishing that small, seemingly irrelevant things can make you feel so much better about everything around you and yourself.

A cursory glance at Google suggests it is common here, N. Zealand and Australia. It maybe derived from 'bloc' which means 'bloke'.

Stringy, just admit that you live in a so remote and forgotten part of England that the language you use is alien to others ;)

  5. Looking at the forum activity it seems we are in the crack pot season right now. When does the preacher season start ?

I'd completely forgotten that lol ;) something in between, I guess, but since we're in study period now (easter "holiday"), I guess I'm more of a passive crackless crack pot

Ah, the stangnation slash vegetablism state. I hate when I get that.

I've given it to my sis-in-law; you'd think she's got man flu; she's 'dying'. :D

My head today is officialy the density of a neutron star due to the amount of snot in my sinuses. On the good side- I don't feel like dying anymore.

  8. Our sons teeth started to come out. I must admit that it's a "magical" process on more than one level.

He's five and a half months old so it's that "other" kind of magic. When he gets into the high frequencies while crying it drives me nuts.

We anthropomorphise our carp and the big ones have names.

  10. There is a flaw in the forum engine. I am unable to open a thread in the trash can section of the forum. I would like to be able to do that to lure some of the users to discuss things there...like Pymander & John Lesser.

      hypervalent_iodine

The trash can isn't there for members to post in. It's there for staff to move posts and threads that don't belong anywhere but. Having it open to members would be pandemonium, since the whole point is that the threads there are utter rubbish, deemed not suitable for discussion.

Furthermore, I find your attitude disheartening. As frustrating as some members are, you should always hope that they improve rather than continue as is or get worse.

You are right ofcourse hypervalent. I also hope that my attitude is not against the forum rules, we wouldn't want that. Don't give up on me hypervalent, you should always hope that I improve.

  11. Trump's youngest kid during todays inauguration looks like he's mad to be there instead of sitting at home torturing small animals.

Compared to Trump's faux pas over the period of his campaign mine is a minor one. Especially considering that what I wrote is obviously a sarcastic joke.

      I don't care if it's a joke. It's over the line and a violation of rule 2.1.

  12. Well, they're gonna cut me up me tomorrow. Wish me luck or break a leg or that the neuro-surgeon will be sober. Come to think of it, if he will be sober he might have shaky hands :P Anyway, I hope the knife will not slip and sever my spinal cord.

Have I introduced you to android os xD? The important thing is that you're back on your two feet. I'm still recovering from the last version of the forum and then this bomb just dropped. Wonderful.
