I was wondering that if cranberry juice (organic no added sugar) if it would be able to pro long the build up of plaque on your teeth? I have reason to believe this because cranberry juice has anti-bacterial adhesion which means that bacteria won't be able to form on the tooth. Also I was wondering if this would work on say a fruit because when mold starts forming on a fruit will the anti bacterial adhesion pro long the life of the fruit?

I know that the volume of a cylinder is V = (pi)*L*r^2. But, when it comes to dV of cylinder, my book seems to imply two different answers. On one page of my textbook dV = dx*dy*dz, where x, y and z are the three dimensions; okay that makes sense. But then when it explains how to find the moment of inertia of a solid cylinder, it suggests using dV = 2*(pi)*L*r*dr to put the differential and integration variables in the same terms, which also makes sense. But now we are using a derivative of only one dimension while r and L are its actual values. So the explanation of dV has all 3 dimensions differentiated. But in the problem, they only differentiate one of the…

Hello, Ive been seeing it everywhere" NAOH is a strong base". But in order for it to be strong, it has to meet the requirements which are: -The Kb of the reaction must be high. This means that base strenght is not determined by the dissociation % of a substance. Now I ve seen a lot of books say " NaOH is a strong base because it dissociates completely in water" But the dissociation of NaOH in water is not the same reaction as mentioned above right? So this is not a requirement for it to be a strong base! Can anyone help me out please because im stuck. Thanks in advance!

Hello, I am attmepting to assist my son with his science homework. We have repeatedly struck out on the question I am posting below. I would wait until we could figure it out, but because his homework is automated and will not let him continue until he get's this question correct, we are falling seriously behind. Please point me in the correct direction. Mercury has a mass of 3.30 X 1023 kg. Its radius is 2,440 km. What would the weight (in newtons) of a 25 kg object be on the surface of Mercury? Thank you for your help. Kevin

A patient with type 1 diabetes mellitus is admitted to the hospital after collapsing during 50 mile cycle race which he had entered to raise money for the charity. His blood glucose concentration is 25ml/dl. He is given 50% dextrose IV and makes rapid recovery. Plasma CK activity was normal on admission but 12 hrs later is reported as 280Ul/L. A urine sample taken on admission is positive for glucose and protein. Which of the following is/are true? Comment each sentence. A. a very low HbA level would be expected B. Exercise is known to decrease insulin requirements. C. Since he was hypoglycemic on admission, the positive test for glucose in urine at the time must be a…

Hi, I just received a English class homework, but I have no time at all to make it because I have many exams in this period. So, if you can help me, I would remain grateful. I need to make a descriptive essay of 1 page about one person (personal apparence,likes,dislike...) and another about one place. Please, if you have at least one of these or if you can make it now for me, send it to me in a private message, because I don't wanna that somebody else find it on the internet. Thanks a lot!

Hello, my parents are going to get me a nexus 7 or 10, for my birthday, but I need to keep a schedule. I have tried to do it for almost half a year now, but I have failed. Maybe some people could convince me good reasons why I should have one, other than you need to fill out a time sheet for your employer. I should of gotten the Nexus this Christmas, but I didn't do a schedule, and if I did one over last summer vacation I also would of gotten one. Please help me, I feel like I can't do it, but I need to!!! I need to have two schedules, one that is a projected, what my day is going to be, and the other is going to be I write down my stuff as I do it. What are t…

A 98 gram sample of silver oxide is heated in an open container until all the oxygen has been driven off. What is the total mass of silver remaining in the container? I used to know how to do such problems, but I'm not sure where to start. I know the mass of silver is 107.9 and oxygen's is about 16, so the molar mass of AgO would be 123.9 g/mol, but I'm not sure what to do after that.

Hi, I am not sure if this is the right forum for my question but here goes! This is the problem: The stress tensor in the Si coordinate system is given below: σ’ij = {{-500, 0, 30}, {0, -400, 0}, {30, 0, 200}} MPa Calculate the stress tensor in the L coordinate system if: cos-1a33=45o, and X’2 is in the plane defined by X1, X2 and is rotated 60o counterclockwise from X2. The answer the book give is: From the formula σ’ij = aikajlσkl, where σ’ij is defined in L, (σ’33) = a312σ11 + 2a31a32σ12 + 2a31a33σ13 + a322σ22 + 2a32a33σ23 + a332σ33 The direction cosine matrix is given by aij = {{0.35,0.61,-0.…

Here's the corollary: Let X be a nonempty set and f : N×X → X be a function. For each x ∈ X there exists a unique sequence x(1), x(2), ... such that x(1) = x and x(n+1) = f(n,x(n)). Question 1: What exactly does x(1) = x mean? In the same context, what would x(2) equal? Question 2: What does the second part of this equation mean x(n+1) = f(n,x(n))? Is it an ordered pair for an x-y graph or...?

Which proton is more acidic, the one on the left or right? My answer would be the proton attached to the N because N is more electronegative than the carbon that the circled H is attached to. I get that the negative charge on the conjugate base (after removing the H on the carbon) is found in an sp orbital, which stabilizes the negative charge more than an sp3 orbital, but isn't it more important that the proton is attached to the more electronegative atom? This question is taken from David Klein's Orgo as a Second Language book.

Hi everyone, I am brand new to this forum, so forgive me if I should have posted this in a different area. I need help with a physics problem, but the people who were helping me on a different website seem to have grown impatient and left. May I link someone to that forum, and we can finish solving the problem on here? It would be confusing for whoever helps me on here if I posted everything again. Thanks so much!

I understand the concept of potential energy and I am aware that this question may not seem too complex. I have an issue of approaching the question. I do not want any answers, I just need some help as I am completely clueless on how to go about solving it. I am slightly confused as to what it's actually asking. I have emailed my tutor a number of times and he hasn't replied.
