The most part of spontaneous mutations don't occur in the phenotype because they (are): - harmful, - healthy, - dominant, - recessive, - neutral, - occur in the noncoding DNA, - include packing processes only. Neutral: the most part of mutations is neutral. Recessive: if they don't occur they are recessed. Am I wrong? The last one "include packing processes only" - I'm not sure. I'll be grateful for any assistance.

  6. A) Ancestral symbionts had low GC content genomes by chance, and these low GC content genomes are passed onto their progeny. B) Replicating high G+C content genomes requires several additional enzymes, to break apart the strong triple bonds formed from GC pairs, which are rarely found in symbionts with relatively small genome sizes. C) Free-living organisms must have a more stable genome to survive; low G+C content organisms are often selected against in nature. D) Symbionts usually do not have as many…

Hi guys, Thanks for reading this topic! I would like to ask for some advice on what happens with activated carbon filters, or why you think this is. I was doing an experiment, using an activated carbon filter - Brita Water Filter (for drinking purposes), and running contaminated lake water through it. I tested the pH of the water after, and it was basic - a reading of 6.0, compared to the 7.5 of the lake water before. Why is this? Thank you! Ah sorry, I meant acidic

(AFA) The figure below shows a container that is 95% volume occupied by a liquid, initially at 10 ° C Since the linear expansion coefficients of the container and volume of the liquid, respectively, equal to 1.7. 10^-5 ° C^-1 and 5.8. 10^-4 ° C^-1, it can be said that the a) container is completely full at 110 ° C. b) empty part of the volume does not change. c) the container will be with 98% of its volume occupied at 110 ° C. d) container will only be completely filled to 220 ° C. Desde já, obrigado!

Hello, I am trying to figure out how to calculate keq for a redoxs soultions lab we did in my uni with copper (i) chloride mixed with 60 mL of distilled water. We were asked which redox reaction happened? (precipitation? ) and to calculate keq Im not really sure how to do this. so first I wrote what happened and then I thought I had to calculate the moles of the species? so 0.01 moles of CuCl (i think) and 0.003 moles of water? 2CuCl + H2O = Cu2++ 2Cl + H2O then im not sure of my next step? UPDATE: So then I can put it into this form no? Keq = [Cu2+][2Cl-]/ [CuCl] i dont understand why it is Cu2+ and 2Cl. isnt there a value for the separation of CuCl in …
