Hello, I am having trouble with some homework given to us by a professor in a BASIC Astronomy class. Describe how you would design an experiment to determine the radius of the sun, writing down equations used in each step.We have been covering Stefan-Boltzmann constant so I assume he would prefer we use this in the process. This is all the info we were given to start the assignment. I understand the equation to use are: L=(Stefan-Boltzmann Constant) * T^4 * 4(Pi)R^2 Although not sure how to find L. Again this is a BASIC Astronomy, so nothing too complex (but sadly this one is too difficult for me). Thanks in advance for the help!

Ok, so here's the story. A week ago we did our first SAC (School assesed coursework) in my Year 12 Biology class. A sac is roughly the equivalent of a test at our school, but they're usually more extended response type questions. The sac was on enzymes in general. The experiment consisted of placing some liquefied liver in test tubes and then adding pH buffers to each one (pH's 1,4,7,9 and 14 used - this is somewhat important). We then added some hydrogen peroxide to the test tube and observed the reaction. I have a problem were given the data i plot the marginal cost and average total cost curves on the same graph. Then the problem asks to: "Identify the lowest per-unit cost on the graph." I am confused about which curve am i supposed to use. Judging by the shape of the graph (u shaped)its gona be the average total cost one. However, i have a feeling the answer should be the point where those 2 graphs meet. But i cant understand what would that point actually mean. See if you can help me. Hi Friends! I'm planning to make a Galvanic/Daniell Cell (Electrochemistry). I've been given the following materials: 1. Magnesium Ribbon (5cm) 2. Zinc Strip (2cm by 5cm) 3. Basically, my friend and I conducted an experiemtn for 10th grade chem in which we used five liquids with different pH levels and measured the time it took for different liquids to dissolve a Jolly Rancher. I'm working on the final paper, and most of it is straight forward, but I can't find any information on the relationship between the pH of solvents and the time it takes to dissolve solutes. Does anyone know of any similar experiments or about the relationship (if there is one)? We found that the more alkaline solvents dissolve the candy faster, which wasn't what we expected. Does it depend on the solute? Can anyone help?

I know that 5 vol H2O2 is equal to 0.44moldm-3. in my experiment i used 5cm3 of 5vol. i then diluted this, using 4cm3 of 5 vol H2O2 and 1cm3 distilled H2O. How do i work out the concentration of this? Ok, now, i am going to go out on a limb here and say that this is a little confusing to explain in words, but i will try. ok, so the ball traveles 3 meters in 1 second. the average velocity 3m/s the final velocity is 6 m/s the acceleration is 6 m/s/s or 6m/s squared. as you know, the distance traveled here is 3 meters. So now i must find out the distance traveled on the next stop.
