Speculations
Pseudoscientific or speculatory threads belong here.
The Speculations forum is provided for those who like to hypothesize new ideas in science. To enrich our discussions above the level of Wild Ass Guesswork (WAG) and give as much meaning as possible to such speculations, we do have some special rules to follow:
- Speculations must be backed up by evidence or some sort of proof. If your speculation is untestable, or you don't give us evidence (or a prediction that is testable), your thread will be moved to the Trash Can. If you expect any scientific input, you need to provide a case that science can measure.
- Be civil. As wrong as someone might be, there is no reason to insult them, and there's no reason to get angry if someone points out the flaws in your theory, either.
- Keep it in the Speculations forum. Don't try to use your pet theory to answer questions in the mainstream science forums, and don't hijack other threads to advertise your new theory.
The movement of a thread into (or out of) Speculations is ultimately at the discretion of moderators, and will be determined on a case by case basis.

Studying other theory's is fine but to insist that people align themselves with a theory that you believe in prior to posting is contrary to the science doctrine. If everyone always did what you suggest we'd still be thinking the sun revolves around the earth. I for one believe that the Big Bang was not a singular event and that matter continues to flood into our universe driving inflation.

Man-made nuclear bomb: ONE best evidence of Big Bang. (In 1964, radio astronomers Amo Penzias and Robert Wilson detected cosmic microwave background radiation covering entire outer space, believed remnant of Big Bang, below another d iscovery appears exceptionally good) . Atom is 99.999999999999% space., meaning its components, re-electrons, protons, neutrons, quarks, are all that spacious. If atom is the size of 20 basketballs rolled into one, the size of its nucleus is like a grain of sand, and if the size of the nucleus is 20 basketballs rolled into one, the size of the innermost quark is like a grain of sand. From such hollow nucl…

Equilibrum of Positive to Negative of Atom The Law of Opposite states that there should be equilibrium of positive to negative, meaning the mass of positive to negative should be in equilibrium, just like water seeking its own level. That requirement of equilibrium is applicable to micro as it is in macro. In macro solar system, the sun, as nucleus, has equilibrium positive and negative property, in like manner, earth and all other satellites, re- mars, venus, etc., each satellite , has equal mass of positive and negative property, in keeping with the Law of Opposite.. In micro atom solar system, the nucleus and electrons, should, each should have equilibrium m…

WHY IS GRAVITY ALL ATTRACTION TOWARD EARTH? (Ever since that momentous time Adam’s apple fell on the lap of napping Newton, “simpleton” gravity has become intriguing, more intriguing, that up to now, gravity is ranked one of the eleven greatest (if not the greatest) unanswered questions in physics, according to Dr. Michael Turner, Ph. D. and many other physicists. Yes, why does the apple falls downward toward the center of Earth and not up to outer space? The following almost four decades of sleuthing finally dissects, like surgical knife, and unlocks the true nature and behavior of gravity). Two phenomena, working together as one, are responsible “why gravit…

But what about the deeper questions like: 1. Is there a God which created the universe or started the big bang or do we live in a completely atheistic (or Godless) universe controlled by blind mechanical forces? 2. Also is there life after death or is death the final end?

A thought experiment: Charles Babbage is thought of as the inventor of computers with his difference engine etc. This was a mechanical device. Modern computers are electronic rather than mechanical and work by having electrons flow through CPUs and other electronic devices. Is it theoretically possible to replicate the workings of a computer using mechanics?

Hi: I have speculative neuroscience question. Let’s say that the PSTSNs in my body – and the ADFNs supplying them -- don’t have any refractory period or any other protections against hyper-excitability. PSTSN = Peripheral Somatic Tactile Sensory Nerve ADFN = A-Delta-Fiber-Nociceptor Non-ADFN = Sensory-receptor/nerve-ending that is not an ADFN or the portion of a nerve that is attached to such a sensory-receptor/nerve-ending ADFNPSTSN = A-Delta-Fiber-Nociceptor supplying a PSTSN PSTSNNon-ADFN = A non-ADFN supplying a PSTSN Tactile = Pertaining only to sense of touch [including temperature, pressure, pain, tickle, vibrations, movement, etc.]…

Hello this is my very first post here, so I thought I would play it safe and put this subject in Pseudoscience and Speculations. Anyway, I like to design stuff particualrly spacecraft. I designed this particular space ship several years ago. I would just like to ask the question; given how conventional space travel is progressing do you think it would be possible to build a ship capable of travelling fast enought to explore our solar system within a ten year mission scedule. And is it plausable that such a ship could be designed and built within the next 50 to 75 years. Hope you find the images I have designed interesting. Many thanks JC

Structure of the photon he ones that have ear to hear, listen and the ones that have understanding to understand, understand : In the structure of the photon is find the answer to the unification of gravity and electromagnetism. This enunciate create the base to transform electromagnetic force into gravitational force. If the photon gets disintegrated, taking it to its minimum expression, it will be shown that the following number of sub-particles will be liberated: 1 graviton (colorless) + 4 neutrinos (red color) + 16 quarks (green color) + 16 anti-quarks (blue color) = 37 sub-particle *** Images were replaced by a moderator after the OP requested them re…

So, I was watching "Cosmic Holes" last night, and while discussing the nature of time and gravity, they talked about how clocks on earth run slower than clocks higher in the atmosphere - explaining how a gravitational field effects time. One scientist referred to the occupants in a rocket blasting through the atmosphere into space as "going into the future, faster" than those of us on the ground. So, my question is, if this was more exaggerated, to the point we could actually notice with the unaided eye...wouldn't they appear to be moving at a faster rate? Would those of us on the ground perceive them as moving even faster? Or slower? Or nothing at all? …

I was wondering do we have a space based early warning system for tracking asteroids. I know that they have radio telescopes equipped with high powered digital cameras which scan the skies for danger, but how do they compensate for atmosphere distortion with these cameras. I’m currently working on my latest idea, a deep space radio telescope. There are a few uses for this deep space radio telescope. To Track objects entering our solar system, to determine if they’re a threat. To peer deeper into the cosmos, monitor background radiation. To relay communication with any deep space vessels, thus preventing signal degradation. You could position up to ten of the…

Nothing by itself is nothing. Nothing at one moment and nothing at the next moment in time are still nothing but now nothing is relative to something existing elsewhere. When there is time there is space, and where there is a next moment in time there is next space. This would mean every point in the universe is the same point , they act independantly because every frame of reference that we consider a point is HERE/NOW relative to that point. (i.e. the only fundamental point is nothingness) So is it possible that time makes space, that space makes energy, that energy makes matter and matter makes you and me? Every point is HERE/NOW, there is no pa…

I joined this forum just to post my theorem (or is it theorum) Anywho, the Axiom is gravity makes things all "sticky". Some say it's clear evidence this planet sucks, in reality all planets do and their moons as well. If the moon has a gravitational pull, and the earth does. And any other astrological body that its capable of detecting gravity on also does. One must assume, everything has a gravitational pull of some sort. Which I believe negates any possibility of "Graviton's" It's is a logical postulate to assume that gravity is directly related to mass (not to be confused with weight). (m = W/g) Sew.....one might deduce a theoretical (not to mention tot…

The big bang is only the beginning of our one and only percieved universe. While this may be true I began to think deeper into this region of science known as astrology, and came out with a theoretical understanding. What if the vastly small atom that blew up creating our universe was one of millions? I believe in infinancy to the fullest extent in that there may not have only been just one atom that blew up creating the many galaxies, stars, and solar systems we know of today... I believe that there were many atoms that blew up creating their own little universes, and there still are these little atoms blowing up creating their own universes. And as our universe may be v…

This post is an explanation of my understanding to how Einstein's relativity theory works in conjunction with time. Allow us for a minute to reflect upon Einstein's theory of relativity. E=mc². Einstein's theory states that energy equals the product of mass times the speed of light squared. From this very equation Einstein was able to theorize that time is irrelevant.. Irrelevant to everything that exists in it. Allow me to shed some light here. To my understanding (this is simply just my thought process in the matter, hopefully posting this will get me some feedback) since light remains at a constant speed we can conclude that it is essentially a constant figure …

Why do all the speculations concerning the possibility of 'time travel' presume a non-dynamic staring point, when there is no such thing? Any point on Terra is moving. It is rotating in relation to the planet's axis. It is orbiting our sun. Our sun is orbiting the center of the Milky Way, the Milky Way is moving closer to Andromena, and our glactic cluster as a whole is moving toward a point behind the Virgo Cluster. The total sum of these velocities might be something like 1/35 C. Wouldn't it stand to reason that if you were to travel 35 seconds into the past, you would reappear into empty space approx. 186,000 miles ahead of where you were, and if you stayed…

Hello, I would like to introduce a new vision on space and time. My suggestion is that we are "now" on the edge of the universe and that the velocity of light is actually the speed of time. The best way to tell my idea is to watch this animation I made on youtube. I think that behind the edge of the universe there will be tomorrow. I would suggest that the speed of light is the absolute minimum of time and space. Light is just like a trail while we travel into the 4th dimension. Well, let's see what you think about this?

Photons do not exist Litterature gives a single "proof" of their existence:the foto-electric effect. If this effect existed really , it would not prove the existence of photons. But the so called photoelectric effect is a thermal effect dependeing only on temperature. The "foto-electric effect"occurs also in complete darkness. See Nobel prize winner Richardson. who left a formula ( from about 1900 ) for the ionic emission Morp

I didn't want to post this in the molecular biology forum or the atomic physics forum as I suspect it's probably a bit too Ps&S. Standard molecules such as H2O and NaCl take their energy to do stuff from heat and electrical charge, right? Could there be something overlooked that changes a long poly-protein molecule from something inert and non responsive into a molecule that has sufficient extra energy to combine amino acids into copies of itself? (The Ps&S bit.) What's the possibility that the structure of these atomic chains generates a specific form of energy required to do this arrangement of amino acids and such? Something that hasn't been cons…

UNIVERSAL MAGNETIC FIELD (UMF) There exist a Universal Magnetic Field (UMF) that links all matter & events within the Universe. And the Human Mind as well has a remote link to this UMF. This UMF is sensitive to: Space, Time, Direction, Matter, Energy, Light, Good, Evil, Truth, Falsehood, Negativity, Positivism, etc. The link between the Mind and the UMF is what I term as the Universal Mind. The UMF is an Extraordinary Vector Quantity; it is everywhere (Universal) but its field strength depends on its alignment (co-ordination) with the body concerned. Since there is no scientific instrument presently for detecting this field (UMF) how can we locate and utilize it to …
