Speculations
Pseudoscientific or speculatory threads belong here.
The Speculations forum is provided for those who like to hypothesize new ideas in science. To enrich our discussions above the level of Wild Ass Guesswork (WAG) and give as much meaning as possible to such speculations, we do have some special rules to follow:
- Speculations must be backed up by evidence or some sort of proof. If your speculation is untestable, or you don't give us evidence (or a prediction that is testable), your thread will be moved to the Trash Can. If you expect any scientific input, you need to provide a case that science can measure.
- Be civil. As wrong as someone might be, there is no reason to insult them, and there's no reason to get angry if someone points out the flaws in your theory, either.
- Keep it in the Speculations forum. Don't try to use your pet theory to answer questions in the mainstream science forums, and don't hijack other threads to advertise your new theory.
The movement of a thread into (or out of) Speculations is ultimately at the discretion of moderators, and will be determined on a case by case basis.

Swansont, Don't know who you are referring to as gas bags, hoping to overturn relativity theory, but I would like to check in as someone who does not understand what relativity theory is saying about the universe. I see an experiment where two in sync clocks are removed from each other, one follows one path into another inertial frame, and when rejoined the clocks are no longer in sync. I just want to know what happened, where it happened, when it happened and why it happened, so I can fit the forces, laws and combinations, into my model of the world. I can take ratios and make analogies and transforms, and such, in a general, uneducated, natural way. I can't do th…

I was trained as an electrical engineer but only used the calculus twice early in my working life and now in retirement could not attempt its use. I seek enlightenment about an accepted scientific fact. It concern gravitational lensing or microlensing. The accepted brightening effect of a star passing behind a black hole screams at me that it cannot be so. I expect to be proven wrong. A standard convex lense has but one focal length so that light converges from lense to focal length and diverges beyond that point. Beyond two focal lengths its brightness is less than it was when reaching the lense. A gravitational lense has a continuous focal length. That is, that …

The Veegtrón theory Many times I wondered how enlightens the photon and the response I got changed photon by an Veegtrón with electric charge positive and negative. The reason I gave him an electric charge to the Veegtrón is to verify the theory of lighting by a microscopic short-circuit this particle Veegtrón. With this particle since discovered, explains why shines the wave out of the lightbulb or a candle is easy, what happens is the wave consists of Veegtrones in microscopic circuit shining and illuminating what we see. To explain the movement of a Galaxy light to another, I had to say the universe consists entirely of Veegtrones i…

Hi: As usual I have a hypothetical sci-fi question. Let's say that my entire central nervous system is somehow made physically-invincible and immortal. What signs and symptoms will occur if -- by magic -- all my cardiac muscles enter a state of sudden, complete, and permanent relaxation and totally ignore any commands from my body's regulatory systems [including its own pacemaker] to un-relax? Thanks, GX

Sorry, I think I posted in wrong place: Don't know how to delete.. put in "speculations" instead, just in case: Original post: Is it possible that Stonehenge is not religious and was about the physics of the heavens? Playlist: http://www.youtube.c...C6D8494EA2D8249 (all of the playlist takes about 10 minutes but skim through the recaps at the start.. makes it much quicker.) And quick version here: http://www.youtube.c...h?v=nPNfpWGLnfM What do you make of this new theory (published a few days ago as a non-fiction appendix to a novel)

Didn't know quite where to put this post. Thought; if I put it in the religious forum some of you won't see it. But then, if I put it here perhaps some of the more religious folks won't see it either? I'll take my chance someone will either redirect or leave it be. I was skipping around through Yahoo earlier (6AM) with a question. "What is Eternity"? Man, it was like adding an extra dose of salt peter to charcoal when making gun powder. Literally every kind of answer and conjecture imaginable. This link is broken into several different sub-sections, but none too difficult for even me to understand. If you haven't seen it, you might find it interesting. My idea of eter…

Elecrons move from one orbit to another without traversing the distance inbetween. Is it possible that the distance inbetween lacks the property of momentum potential? Perhaps momentum potential space exists as fields in the subatomic realm. Lately I've been thinking that momentum poteneial space might be the by product of vacuum energy anihalation. This might give a "real time" space for electromagnetic charge to exist within, seprerating the electromagnetic energy particles of the quark from electromagnetic energy particles of the vacuum energy. Otherwise what is the difference from the elecreomagnetic energy inside the quark and the electro magnetic energy out sid…

We know many waves, i.e., matter wave (sound wave, earthquake wave, water wave), electromagnetic wave(light wave), gravity wave. And, we have tried to find Dark Matter. If so, are there other waves we have not seen or imagined yet? At the present we can not detect them easily like Dark Matter. We try to explain after Big Bang event by using matter, Dark Matter and Dark Energy concepts. But we detect only CMB. Other undiscovered phenomena would exist. Neutrino which was created by Big Bang , gravity wave, other small or big size particles and other unknown waves --- I suppose at that high temperature state other forms of wave would be exist . In the other cas…

Symbio-Genesis, at all biological scales, is a "process", not an "event" ? Over two billion years ago, a then-free-swimming pre-Mitochondrial, proteobacteria, was incorporated, into the proto-Eukaryotic (post-Thermoplasma ?) host cell. This "event" is often described in "instantaneously singular terms", as if full-fledged Symbiosis emerged, full-flower, from some single happenstance. Yet, that newly-proto-Mitochondrial, intra-cellular symbiont, surely had a genome of ~1000 genes, >2 Gya, which has been steadily eroded down -- by "streamlining deletions", and "nuclear incorporations", of the proto-Mitochondrial genome -- to only 37 genes, today. Thus, Eukaryotic …

At ten to the minus thirty seven seconds gravity breaks free from the singularity. Next electromagnetic force breaks free and then the strong force and then the weak force and altogether this makes up the big bang according the stories that I've heard. The atom contains all of these forces as relative points in space time. Could the atom be a "little bang" happening at a much slower rate? Or perhaps they are just the inward points of reverberations of the original event?

Let"s say me and you are sitting across the table from one another and the universe divides between us. Now your universe starts expanding a little faster than mine. Eventually I would watch you start to "pixleize" as the distance that your energy occupies would get farther and farther apart until all I'd be able to make out would be your energies existing and quantum leaping. Even though the speed of light would remain the same for both of us within our own planes of expansion. Now I don't think this is really possitble but it might help you to visualize my train of thought on this matter. Oh, I know I'm laughed at now then and seldom taken very seriously but I ass…

After inflation there has only existed five particles in the Universe, i.e., electron, proton, neutron, neutrino, photon. I am wondering about why there is not existence more small or big particles. Are more small or big particles unstable to exist? Do we have any theory?

This is probably a question for which I will likely be severely beaten around the ears for even bringing it up. "But", how can the speed of a randomly diverging universe be determined? If as said, the universe was spewed out into an eternal expanding bubble some years back as a "supposed" gaseous plasma, and has been moving sequentially ever since. Why now would it be speeding up? If in fact this was the B.B. happening in a vacuum, there is no reason to think a speedup would be the case. With no restrictions of freely escaping out into this "un-real" real estate, the universe has been expanding in moderation for billions of years. So again, why the speedup? For me to sit …

Hello, I am looking for someone who could help me to finish the theory attached. It is based on time dilation effect, but I analyse dilation as a field itself. As yet theory predicts expected delay of high-energy photons from gamma flashes vs. the visible light compliant to results obtained with observations through the FERMI telescope (flashes from the GRB090510 source). It also pass OTW tests. Bibliography in the article. If you are physicist or you know physicist who could help me - please contact me at piotrogonowski.pl@gmail.com Thank you in advance for any support Piotr Ogonowski DILATION_FIELD_THEORY.pdf

There is no evidance for this theory I run my own creation vs science forum and not one evolutionist has given a single peive of empircle evidence (meaning testable, observable and demonstrated) I love this subject beacuse there is no evidence on either side its all speculation

Having a mass in the space is a high energy state. After inflation, the energy become particles which have a mass is thermodynamically right? The theory similar to vapor condensation theory. Satuated vapor can easily become drops because the energy state of the drop is law. But to be a particle which has a mass is not low energy state, it is very high energy state. Is this theory reasonable?

Scientists have been discovering voids in space that are billions of light-years across. One huge void found in 2009 is a mystifying 3.5 light-years across. Now, this may not seem like a big deal. But when you consider that the visible universe stretches only 13.5 light-years in any direction, a void 3.5 light-years across is about a quarter of the visible universe. That's a lot of empty space. But, this may still not seem like a big deal to you. So here's the big deal, and the real deal: there hasn't been enough time since the big bang for such large voids to form. Now, that's a problem. The mystery is described on NewScientist.com, April 4th, 2009, in an articl…

Hello all, I've recently read(partially) the book written by G.D.Wasserman "Shadow Matter and Psi-phenomena and possible Survival of Human Personality". Here is description from Amazon: "A scientist casts new light on psychic phenomena, such as clairvoyance, telepathy, and 'out of body experiences'. He presents an exciting new theory which explains such phenomena, linking the recently discovered 'Shadow Matter' world of physics with parapsychology. It replaces notions of the occult with important new ideas that are figuring in physics (even in recent television programmes). The book contains case histories, showing how this new theory could account for telepathy, clai…

A few months ago, I experienced a suprising phenomenon with my radio: I was in my room, and my radio was on. I was on my bed a few meters away. However, my radio had a lot of static. I think something was inerfering with it receiving the radio waves. But, when I stood within 5 feet of my radio, the static disapated. It was as if my body was helping the radio receive the waves. The interesting part was when I barely moved an inch out of the 5 foot radius, my radio got staticy again. I then moved in a tad bit closer to my radio, and the static went away again. I continued going back and forth with the same result, and I could have done so for the entire night. Can anyon…
