I'm not good with computers. At all. I hope what I'm looking for is actually quite simple, but it doesn't sound that way to my own ears. All I'll really use it for is writing and research, listening to music, and occasional photo/video editing, but I want something durable and secure. About 100GB SSD hard drive sounds good, I read those kind don't mess up as easily because they have less moving parts, but I don't need much memory. I'm not really sure if 100GB is "much" or not. At least 2 USB ports, an SD card slot, and a disk drive are a must. So no notebooks. I don't want anything used, it could have the last owner's child porn germs or something, but I don't want so…

  3. Essentially I want to install a camera in public places, well hopefully one where no one picks up and break. Then I will send these images back into my computer and analyze it with OpenCV. I want to know what type of project I should do, population, stores, streets, cars. And how it can earn me cash. Thanks

  4. Hey guys, I'm 25 years old and considering transferring to a different college out of state. The school I'm looking to transfer to is very prestigious and is expensive for out of state students. Should I transfet, I will be going to a community college that is partnered with the school first, then transferring to this school as part of an agreement between the two schools. So I will only be paying two years of the big school's rates. Their out of state tuition is $41,000 per year. Assuming I get the full aid I qualify for, I will be left with roughly $17,000 per year unaccounted for which I will have to find some way to pay off. According to the school's financial…

I have an opportunity to learn anything about computer software development, computer programming on any language, database management systems, etc. I'm a student of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, I'm majoring in Electronic & Computer Engineering as a branch under my field. I need something to learn and know and do within a duration of 6months. Something that'll make me certified in its aspects and also make me saleable amongst my counterparts. The financial and material resources to learn such a computer program wouldn't be a problem. I want to make a huge leep and make myself more desirable to companies than my peers; a reason to fill my…

  7. I understand For loops and all of their components, but I was wondering if anyone has a trick to solve the end result? My wording is probably confusing so let me type out an example-(I apologize if there is a format error, I am new here) double x = 0; for (double i = 32; i < 36; i += 0.25) x += i % 32; out.println(x); I am on the computer science team at my school and I have trouble with these types of problems. I can just hand write it step by step but that takes way too long, does anyone know of a way to quickly solve it without a computer? Thank you.

I made an ssh client because I was tired of using PuTTy(due to it being limited in interaction with the local computer and the server). https://github.com/GreggSchaffter/SSH-Studio You can download both the project and the standalone of SSH Studio there. It has file/folder exploration, uploading and downloading, syncing of files. More information is located on the github project. It's open source, so anyone can add stuff to it, make branches as well. It's currently in development, so there are issues(like uploading and downloading large files).

Here is a problem given below. I am badly in need of the solution of the problem: "Snake and ladder" is a game played in 10*10 board containing some cells number from 1 to 100.But 'Luffy(a boy)' doesn't like snake. So recently he has created a new version of the game with no snakes named 'Only ladder is real'.In this new game a player starts from the position 1 and the goal is to reach 100. In each move he can move forward up to 6 cells. But some cells contain a ladder.A ladder takes him up from one cell to another. If he reaches the bottom part of a ladder, he will immediately move to the cell which contains the upper part of the ladder. For example assume cell 5 contain…

Hi all, I have the following problem I need to solve, and I hope you can point me to the right direction. I have a bunch (4000) of people addresses in a city that are mapped to coordinates (longitude and latitude). I also have different bus routes (up to 17), that go through the city picking up these people, that I could draw to google maps for example. This routes were designed based on human experience, and the buses that travel on them practically have to stop every time a person raises one's hand (sometimes on every block), which is pretty inefficient. What I would like to do is to define a number of Bus Stops, along all of the routes, that comply with the fo…
