Yeah, that's a feed I think. I believe Cap'n made an actual section of the forum that contains the blog entries.... are they going to show up in today's posts?

Just a note - the forum doesn't seem to have updated - Klaynos' last blog does not appear in the thread list, whilst it does in the upper right panel of the main page

This is probably because it's an edited post.

Hm. There is a list of recent blog posts in a panel on the top right of the SFN homepage, so I see them while browsing anyway. Maybe this isn't the same for everyone, though, I don't really know.

Yeah, that's always there, but it doesn't get the attention it deserves.

That's the idea. You'll see blog posts as you browse through the rest of the recent content on SFN.

The posts update every three hours or so, so it'll be a bit behind.

Cap'n has a slave who manually logs into the username SFN blogs and updates the entries one by one, there's no script! Don't be fooled!

Just kidding.

Is this to get more traffic to blogs? I think the blogs should be incorporated into member profiles somehow, that would be cool.

There used to be links at the bottom of all users (who had blogs) posts... next to where the post count now is... Not sure how easy that would be to incorporate in the new software... Code monkey? ... sorry, Cap'n?

Haha... that's a good idea. But I guess someone's blog link can just be put into a signature.

It would be cool if the actual blog entry could show up in a table in the post or something.

Yes, that's the idea. The blogs don't get nearly as much attention as they deserve. There are ways to get blog entries into profiles; I just need to find out what they are.

I'll have to dig around and find out if this is possible.

Why can't I log into my blog? Did the recent format change erase all the blogs? It would let me register either...

For the last week or so, every one of my scheduled posts has failed to materialize. In the posts list there was an error that says "missed schedule". I went in to the editor and hit "publish" and it the appeared. Normally this isn't a major problem since I do this anyway to make the blog appear in the SFN post queue, but for this error it wasn't even showing up on the blog and I was at a conference and had hoped to run the blog on remote for the week. I checked in and found that two posts hadn't appeared.

I did some poking around but I don't have any ideas why that would happen. WordPress is running its scheduled tasks occasionally like it should.

I just set up a cronjob to force them to run hourly. You might try scheduling another post and seeing if it appears on time.
