Who attended the Copenhagen Convention

Featured Replies

My editor just asked me: who else besides Heisenberg and Bohr attended the Copenhager Convention in 1927. I always assumed it was just Heisenberg and Bohr themselves, but were there others?

Copenhagen Convention?

Is there another name for it?

The fifth Solvay Conference in 1927 in Brussels was quite famous for discussions of the Copenhagen interpretation of quantum mechanics by Bohr

I was about to post the same photo. I believe it is the same event the OP is talking about.

Well, it wouldn't be much of a convention if there were only two people there.

If the fifth Solvey Conference is the one where Heisenberg and Bohr officially settled on the Copenhagen interpretation of quantum mechanics, then this is the one I'm asking about.

Since the OP hasn't thanked you for such a clear and complete answer I will. +1

The 27th Solvay Physics Conference will be held Oct 19-24 of this year.
They follow a 3 yr rotation, and, it is by invitation only.

( and dammit, although I work for Solvay, I'm not invited )
