  1. I think it's perfectly okay to think of some women as inferior. Because it's also perfectly okay to think of some men as inferior.

Chose a criterion for inferiority or superiority - the Nazis definitely chose theirs. Controversial comments man!

  2. The the human mind is an interesting thing. The the brain is highly developed, and the the human body has gone through many changes to support the the brain. When the the brain is reading sentences, it tends to skim and fill in the the blanks. I am certain that most of you did not notice the the double 'the's in the sentences. Have a good day! :)

That is a nice gift to Forum members. Thank you.

Could you please post an Abstract in the Physics section?

  6. Principal thinks I cheated on my exam because the system says I finished too quickly and got too many answers right. So I have to take it again, under supervision. I better get extra points for this.

War is Hell. It is now fought for the control of dwindling natural resources and not for dynastic reasons IMO. It is also waged by the rich who seldom take part in the conflict.

Love that Moontanman. I believe that the good we do comes back to us somehow and be sure that, when you need help, this act of charity will help you in turn. Great job man!

Thank you guys. I'm no saint. I used to walk past these guys but have now lost my fear and engage them instead. I ask their name and why they are out on the streets. Most of the problems tend to be due to mental instability from my straw poll, but they tend to be OK people.

  10. I asked God for a bike, but I know God doesn't roll like that. So I stole one and asked for forgiveness.

  11. A neurosurgeon asking me what the basis is for the difference in clinical presentation of decortication vs. decerebration because he'd forgotten got me thinking (a second year undergraduate student in medicine knows the answer in Belgium). Perhaps neurosurgery is not my destiny, but rather neurology. Couldn't imagine forgetting all the fun nerdy neurophysiological stuff.

That is not what I meant. Responding to an ad hominem attack with a placatory or calm response normally makes the other guy look silly.

Remember, this is a moment of decision; not just to choose the next bar of chocolate but to do more significant things, e.g. how to react to an ad hominem attack.

To connect with other people, it helps to be humorous and therefore I would watch as many stand-up comics as possible and even copy their stories or quips. It helps to build up a good atmosphere.
