And perhaps very cold water isn't that good either... But yes, you are supposed to keep as hydrated as possible while doing exercise
  2. And they probably protect our toes... Having to kick something with a toe with no toenail reeeaally hurts
  3. I was only joking. My answer wasn't meant to be taken seriously
  4. the answer is C because in order for (x-4)(5x+2) = 0, at least one should be equal to zero (because something times something equals zero you see?) and if it did not equal zero, then the other bracket should be equal to zero so x-4=0 and x=4 and you substitute this into 5x+2=0 and the answer is 22
  5. Because round pencils can roll and fall off your desk :/
  6. Thank you both for your answers. Under the supervision of my psychology teacher I will start as off next week a kind of self-experiment to see if I can change my bad habits of procrastinating and disorganization. There will be punishments and rewards which my psychology teacher and I are still discussing. Hopefully this will help me to see if my bad memory is due to being so disorganized or due to something else. I tend to forget many things. Like once I had to pick up my dad somewhere and I completely forgot and he stopped talking to me for about two weeks. I don't have terribly long "gaps" in my memory but for example I lost my USB last friday and I was looking for it pn Sunday for more than 4 hours and only after I had resigned myself to finding it I remembered that I had heard something fall when I closed the door on Friday. That's all fine and normal but the problem is that I was completely sure I had left it on my desk. I remembered putting it there so I wouldn't forget or lose it but I must have had it on my hand and forgot about it and so when I closed the door I just dropped it. It also happened with my ipod. I "remembered" clearly that it fell and asking my mom to pick it up and then putting it inside y jeans. Well, it was lost for about three days and I found it in school. So I never took it home. And it happens very often, normally not with very important things like the keys or a pen or a book but the fact that it happens so often scares me a little... but everybody insists its just due to a lack of concentration. Opinions?
  7. Your answer makes a lor of sense. Thanks. What is the primary function of sleep?
  8. I know but I once tried to to it and it didn't work so I opted for using the ActionListener and that solved my problem so it was just a suggestion.
  9. What I meant was: public class theClass extends JFrame implements ActionListener and then on the button you can write theButton.addActionListener(this); and then create the actionPerformed method
  10. I think that this is because for the button you have to use an ActionListener an if you do don't forget to implement it.
  11. I don't quite get when you say you want to scroll over the button. But you could use both the MouseListener for doing whatever you want to do and the ActionListener for clicking the button.
  12. Wouldn't it be better to use an ActionListener for the buttons?
  13. But yes I suppose that the effect would be quite the same
  14. Oh yes, when you have a high fever you can have hallucinations. Like this one time I remember seeing pink ostriches dancing in the curtains. Or once I was convinced that my bed wanted to kill me. It was really scary. Now when I remember it's just hilarious. But as I said, when you stop sleeping you seriously hallucinate. Normally people tend to start hearing things and I suppose that after very prolonged insomnia they will start to experience visual hallucinations.
  15. How do you know when bad memory is no longer due to lack of concentration but to something else? Like a neurological problem?
  16. This may be a stupid question but since I am experiencing right now why not ask? Why is it that sometimes when you are extremely tired you just can't fall asleep?
  17. You could always stop sleeping for a few days in a row though I would not recommend it.
  18. Aim: Measure the rate at which iodine and propanone react to form iodopropanone by colorimetric analysis and calculate the order of the reaction with respect to each of the reactants and the rate constant. Chemical Equation: CH3COCH3 (Aq) + I2 (Aq) → CH3COCH2I (Aq) +H+ (Aq) + I-(Aq) This is the reaction I believed would happen. So by using Sulphuric Acid I was actually making the reaction go slower? I'll try raising the pH then and I will also see if increasing the temperature helps.
  19. You could always try reading an extremely boring book until you fall asleep. By the way, has anybody tried to "realize" that very last second before you fall asleep? TIt's an incredibly effective way to NOT be able to fall asleep because whenever you "feel" you are about to fall asleep you prevent yourself from actually doing so...
  20. Yes this used to happen to me pretty often too. Sometimes I felt my brain "overheated" and I started to "hear" this faint ringing sound... In the end I decided that the best thing I could do to be able to fall asleep is to either write down my ideas concisely like in bullet points or sribbling them really quickly would help me.
