Tli tate hlluk ht ealaee e eme lopa vav lvlris eyeat lwnt rnh. This isn't nearly as hard as the some of the others, and can very easily be solved with a paper and pencil, but I thought it was fun. Plus, this section doesn't have too many recent posts, so I'm hoping to spark some interest. The sentence doesn't really make sense (It is all real words in a grammatically correct sentence, I just couldn't think of anything serious to write so I had fun with it). I'm just going to go ahead and take a guess, and say it'll last 4 hours

this is my first post on the board so i dont know if this has been used before. There are two animals (the term animal being used very loosely). if you change the second letter of the name of the first animal to the next letter in the alphabet (ex. change A to B), then you will get the name of the second animal.

Ok, I will post a riddle, and after about 10 replies (guesses) to the riddle I will give the actual answer...I'll start There are 3 objects- One is hungry and will never be full- One has gone and will never return- One is here and will never leave- What are the 3 objects? (I realize that the answer may not scientifically be true, but its just a riddle)

Bus For Alaska Fay Chester was a busy housewife with a demanding husband, six children and a large house. The only relief she got from her chores was the twice-a-week bridge game she shared with a dozen other women. The only flaw in the bridge club relationship was that Fay loved to tell off-color stories and the girls didn't want to hear them. To teach Fay a lesson, the other women decided that the next time she told an off-color story, they'd just get up, walk out, meet at another home but without Fay. Sure enough, at the next meeting, Fay started, "You know, girls, there's a rumor going around that a busload of prostitutes will be leaving in the morning …

Sorry if this riddle has already been posted. You have eight wooden blocks. 7 have exactly the same mass, while 1 has slightly more. The difference is so slight, you cannot tell by touch and feel alone, and must rely on the very precise balance scale you have in front of you. In only two measurements, how can you absolutely determine which of the 8 blocks is the odd one out?

Is there an equation for this problem? Each candy bar comes with a coupon, if you get 7 coupons it's good for a free candy bar. What is an eqation that gives you the final amount of candy bars you get (including free ones) using X as the originial number you bought? EX if I bought 27 candy bars, I'd get 27 coupons > 3 free bars + 6 left over coupons. But then those 3 will come with 3 more coupons, making the total amount of coupons 9, which is enought to get another candy bar. So, in the end I'd have 31 candy bars. And it gets even more difficult with higher numbers. This question was given in class (too late to get any credit for it ), but I could neve…

Hello A peer in another science class @ school was given this challenge which was passed onto me...however Im not sure how to contruct this... Any ideas/suggestions/tips on how to create the paper boat so it meets the requirements? Materials: Each final design (i.e. the boat, bridge, and airplane) must be made out of a single sheet of 8.5" x 11" copier paper. You may use the staples and tape provided, but the quantity of each will be limited. You will not be limited in the number of pieces of paper that you use to converge on a final design but only one final entry will be accepted. Scissors will be supplied. For each final design you may use at most 30 staples and…

This puzzle was from a famous puzzle maker Dudeney. Don't give it away if you know the answer In a rectangular room, 30' x 12' x 12', a spider is at the middle of an end wall (one with dimensions 12' x 12'), one foot from the ceiling. The fly is at the middle of the opposite end wall, one foot above the floor. The fly is so scared it can't move. What is the shortest distance the spider must crawl in the room to capture the fly? No web spinning. Hint: It is less than 42 '.
