    Hello all, I'm looking for insight with one of my solar engineering course problems, the answers are multiple choice. I'll post the problems and the relevant (unless I'm missing some pieces) equations below, as well as explain the logic of my thought process.   2. What's the thermodynamic meaning of these molar Gibbs free energy values? I know that when it is ΔG>0 , it means there is no spontaneity, when ΔG=0 there is equilibrium, and when ΔG<0, there is spontaneity. But what happens when G is molar?

I travel to a planet from earth it takes 5 years. Bob is located on earth. Alice is moving at v = .986c on a spaceship to the other planet.     Hi guys So I was set an assignment to find the amino acids in a dipeptide using results from Chromatography and the pKa values after titration which I found to be alanine and histidine. I was also asked to point out the ionisable chemical groups which I had no problem doing. The last question has me stumped though: "If you had a tripeptide containing glycine, how would this change your results?" I don't think glycine would add another ionisable group to the tripeptide so now I'm kind of stumped on what changes would happen if any? Would this change the results at all? Can anyone point me in the right direction, many thanks

  6. Hi everyone! First of all I would like to thank whoever is reading this! Back to my homework, for genetics I have to choose the most suitable technique to detect a 1'5 kb deletion which affects an intron and an exon (not entirely). I thought about doing FISH but someone told me that the resolution is not suitable for this deletion and, to be honest, I'm completely lost. I thought about doing MLPA or array CGH, but I'm not confident at all.     Hi, I am looking to figure out Mg/Ml so I have ingredient “a” it’s in powder form and I want to make a solution of 1.5mg/ml and I want to make 250ml in total so just to confirm I have my numbers correct I add 0.0015mg per 1ml of solution so to make 250ml I add 0.375g / 375mg and adjust the solution to make a volume of 250ml I am sure I have my numbers correct now I am looking at it wrote down here but it just did not look right on my calculator. thanks in advance

    Hi all just a little help/clarification required. I am measuring how the launch angle affects the accuracy of the projectile. In the image that I have attached it demonstrates that for angles up to 45 accuracy decreases and will increase again from 45 to 75 degrees above the horizontal. However for the next part I used the equation below to calculate the range for accounting for air resistance. Those results are attached below. However this is not in conjunction with my other results. In the second part from the data I got that as time of flight increases the accuracy decreases when accounting for air resistance.     The problem asks to find dy/dx in y=sinh(x+y)/xy=1. What I do is: differentiate both sides using implicit differentiation which gives d/dx(sinh(x+y)/xy)=0. I differentiate this setting y' where I have to differentiate y with respect to x. Thus I get (xycosh(x+y)+xyy'cosh(x+y)-ysinh(x+y)-xy'sinh(x+y))/(xy)^2. Then I solve for y' and I get y'=(-xycosh(x+y)+ysinh(x+y))/(xycosh(x+y)-xsinh(x+y)). But the answer in the book says y'=(y-cosh(x+y))/(cosh(x+y)-x). What am I doing wrong? Is my procedure incorrect?   14. x^2 +1 +1/k if I move the k to the right hand of the = sign first it can't be zero because k/0. x^2 +1 +1/k if I move the +1 to the right hand of the = sign first it can't be 1 because that would make 0. So what is it 0 or 1? I probably just made a simple math mistake I apologize if this is a stupid question.

I'm writing this about the effect of the corona pandemic on the sale of phishing tools on the dark web. I'm going to analyze data from before the Corona-pandemic (to understand before the situation before the pandemic) and data after the initial beginning of the Corona-pandemic. Can anyone give me any advice on a fitting research design? I was thinking about a retrospective study, however I don't think that is that common in these type of studies. Or the emperical cycle?   20. When I was learning about the twin paradox I learned that in Bob's frame the space time diagram is represented by the diagram on the far right. In Alice's frame the diagrams are represented by the far left and middle diagrams. Doesn't this assume acceleration because there are 2 frames.     I have been trying to the Bell's Spaceship Paradox but I am getting confused. Can someone simply explain the solution to the paradox according to special relativity? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bell's_spaceship_paradox This is what I think I understand but I am not sure.     The problem says: It takes 300,000 years for a certain radioactive substance to decay to 30% of its original amount. What is its half-life? The result is 173,000 years, but I don't see how it is obtained. I tried solving for x in f(x)=300,000e^(300,000×x)=0.3, which is approximately x=0.00004. Then I solved for x in f(x)=e^(-0.00004×x)=1/2, which is approximately x=173286. That's the closest I got to the actual result. What am I doing wrong? How do I obtain 173,000? Or maybe my answer is correct and 173,000 it's just an approximation? Thanks.
