I'm interested in the synthesis of O-ethyl S-diisopropylaminomethyl methylphosphonothiolate. Since this is essentially the most toxic substances known to man, methods of synthesis are quite difficult to find. If anyone knows anywhere to find such an item, or is good enough to derive one yourself from the name (I'm not that good yet ), post a reply I know that it's a sulfonated organophosphate with the following structure: CH3 O CH(CH3)2 \ || / P - S - CH2CH2 - N / \ CH3CH2O CH(CH3)2 BTW, I'm not a terrorist or arab , i'm just interested in chem/bio weapons. -and if you thought "wtf is that" when reading this, don't waste your time trying to search for something you don't understand. These aren't your run-of-the-mill headaches, she actually loses her sight, and at the first sign of one has to take a pill or she is literally blind and in massive pain for a day or two. It is the only thing that works, and she has a hard time finding an old fashioned codger to prescribe it, as they all worry about increased blood pressure and such. At about 2 episodes a year, they are dweebs, IMO. But I digress.... I guess from the name this is some kind of caffiene and ergotomine. If it raises blood pressure, it seems like reducing pressure on a nerve is contra-indicated, but I am just guessing at best. One thing I can add, she usually gets a script for a half dozen, not very many. They seem to work much better after they have sat for a number of years (2-5). I don't see any reason to take any recreational self medication in any way other than natural strengths. Anybody who wants mescaline, psylocybin, coke, or opium, go travel and see the culture around where it's grown and used. And please don't confuse drug "use" with "abuse" like the government does. Some drugs are good, especially in moderation and infrequently... like lsd and mdma; as long as you're responsible, know your mind, and know the drug, you can have a good time. I can honestly say that the only thing I actually learned was that as an enhancement to daily life, there is no substance that can substitute for the holy three: Risk, Reward and Recognition. It is a benefit in being a parent to have been there, done that. But how do you make a young person understand where you are coming from? I can honestly say that no one loses simply because they haven't experienced some mind altering chemical. Kind of like bungee jumping, it might be fun, it will certainly be unique, but you aren't going to be mentally stunted if you don't jump off a bridge with a rubber band tied to your ankle. If anyone does name either of these you are breaking the official secrets act and are also doing so on a public internet forum, meaing the MI5 assassination man will be calling shortly... a brief history of VX gas: invented in 1952 in Porton Down, UK, this is the only nerve gas invented since WW2 (that has been told to the public...) and is, as u say, the deadliest stuff known to man. of particular importance is its surprising adhesive ability which means it sticks ( ) around for ages and kills anyone whos tried to remove it. usually in the liquid phase in spite of its name, it takes an hour or two b4 u notice the effects. in the gas phase, its horrible and is more potent, requiring an immediate into-heart injection (a la The Rock with Nick Cage). more deadly than sarin, this stuff does exactly what it says on the tin. when i say tin, i mean missile which mixes reagents mid flight as the end product is so dealy the missile launch crew dont fire it with the end product already loaded.
