the author said this encrypted message was for Red Alert, but he (the penguin) went away. here I have taken the suggestions of Dan, and

made them explicit to see if anyone can get a bit further on this.

Looking at it, I would guess that f = I, and m = G, and w = H, and g = P

and p = M, and j = R and z = V and h = S and d = L

So let's try that and see how it looks, yeah

HOPE YOUR SPELLING IMPROVES ON THE NEXT ONE

Here's a working list:

a --- 6 ---- E

I guess since I just decoded Bettina's it must be my turn to supply an encrypted message. Here is a question and an answer:

ab cdz fafgz hijzibz bkjzm gic dkh hzn oacd dah mkpqdczyh kbm qim

mizhbc ifrzsc

So what can we conclude from this?

WELL THANKS! Me (the penguin) had to leave because it was getting 11 in the night, I had school the next day, I am fourteen, and I have a mom that believes ferverently in sleeping and getting up early.

Thanks for spoiling it Martin, I am really annoyed and angry.

oops, thought you had just abandoned it. perhaps Bettina will make another message and we can all know not to try it and let you have all the fun.

Well it wasn't the fact that I wanted to have all the fun, it is more that since it was my puzzle I could solve it perhaps? Or perhaps you could have posted it with as a spoiler, so that the answer could not have been given away. There is a lot you could have done.....

I can't get the "ox" part. Are you sure that its not an error? I fixed it but it comes out like this now.

in the bible someone named lot has sex with his daughters and god

doesnt object

that its ox if your dad is drunk and your mom just turned into salt

OK, not ox

otherwise perfect.

I thought that would be hard to solve and take a while

(in the Bible story, Lot's wife is turned into a pillar of salt, and at the next opportunity his two daughters give their father wine and seduce him.

It is a strange story. for some reason it was OK for Lot's daughters to do this, under the circumstances, although it is generally speaking an unbreakable taboo---a complete no-no)

Compliments on getting this so quickly! All the more so because since you evidently do not know the Bible story it would not have made any sense to you!

Since we're on the topic of crytpo so much now, here's one that I could never figure out (but then again I never really tried). It's from Dan Brown's "Digital Fortress" so I'm sure it could easily be googled, but that's not that point. So, on to the code:

128-10-93-85-10-128-98-112-6-6-25-126-39-1-68-78

This one's a little different than the others so far, but good luck.

Your right, this is easily googled!

however i doubt if anyone will break this code. to break the code you will need to have read the book and have a copy of the book beside you. if you haven't got the book, then it is impossible to break the code.

I have provided a link below WHICH GIVES THE ANSWER to this code so if you have the book and want to break the code, then don't click on the link.
