  1. whatever, you have clearly made your mind up that what I did was bad wrong whatever. In answer to your origional question No I dont disagree with what you observed which is why in my post about it, it went like this Dont bother ranting and raving at me cos I wont be back. You accused me of strawman tactics and trolling, when in fact it was you who were trolling with your question when any fool can see that I wasnt saying your observation was wrong at all. I have seen you do this to other people too, just daring them to get into some word game with you so that you can strut your stuff and feel big.
  2. Yeah Prince Harry has joined the military, but sorry to dissappoint you, this is something that all the royals do and has nothing to do with having been a bad little boy. This is exactly the reason I dont bother buying newspapers.... cos they are generally full of twaddle. Try looking up Royal Regiments, and you will see that every single member of the royal family have served and have regiments named after them. They have a family long history of this that goes back further than any parliament or presidency.
  3. When using multi-core solder some of the flux spat into my eye, and I had to have the blister removed as the edges of it were causing a lot of irritation. The weirdest has to be when I discovered my floater, at first I thought I was seeing a piece of hair hanging down my face and kept trying to pull it away. Still have the floater but I no longer see it now, something to do with the brain now accepting it as normal according to the Doc.

    Tests

In England part of the exam results is your coursework done throughout the year, lots of people find exams and tests frightening and freeze up, you are not alone. Though it is probably easier said than done, try to look at these test/exams as nothing more than re-cap of what you have already learned through the year, you know the answers, and even if you have forgotten some of them don't panic, just move onto the next question, and then go back to the ones you were unsure of after.
  5. two people in a three legged race. The race starts at the bottom of the hill, and ends at the top of the hill. Two people with one of their legs tied to the other person's leg run the race on three legs, once at the top they untie themselves and walk back down on four legs.
  6. You need to be a bit more specific make and model as its not the same code for all DVD players sadly I have heard that some of the makes are more difficult to hack than others, just cant remember which ones

  8. Why do we still have daylight savings? I thought it was introduced during the WWll as something to do with the blackouts and farmers?? Also I have noticed that we dont all change our clocks at the same time, I know Spain is in line with us here in the UK but that America are usually about a week later, again I have no idea why its like that. Anyone have more info on this?

  10. I have watched all three Blades, and I think the first one is by far the best. Guess thats just the way it goes sometimes with sequels.
  11. So what is your opinion based on your observations all beit negative ones in and around your home town, and your observations of what has been posted in here, where I have tried to show you all a different side to smoking cannabis? I didnt say your origional observation was wrong, or that you hadn't observed those things going on around you. The part I disagreed with was the last part of that origonal post. where you said This part of your post was not part of your observation, but rather a stated opinion derived from your observation. This part of your post is the part that was in question and that I wanted to address. The only thing I was re-wording was my own comments not yours, I had kept the whole of your post within my own simply so that you could see what part of the thread I had got this information from. Rather than segregating little snippets of information and losing the thread of the conversation.
  12. i do appologise sayonara i thought this was a forum that we could all join in on. I hadnt realised that your opinion was gospel and couldnt be questioned
  13. Tap the patellar ligament while the subject performs the Jendrassik's maneuver (the subject clasps his/her hands in front of him/her and, with fingers locked, tries vigorously to pull his/her hands apart). This was taken from some tests that were being done on reflexes and measuring them. To read more go here. http://frcc.cc.co.us/docs/cms/Lab_15.htm
  14. We bought a new one ourselves recently, (not that make YT) through amazon.co.uk They sold it as a multi regional system, but when it arrived it had already been programmed with our region (2??) we phoned the actual manufacturer and were able to get in contact with one of their engineers, he gave us the code we needed. You could try doing the same with your one you never know your luck, the worst that can happen is for them to say no.
  15. Ok I accept that you cant see that your post was your reason (from your observation)that people may feel shunned. You didnt use the word reason so I guess that's probably why. So I shall re-word it then, I dont disagree with your observation that cannabis smokers do indeed seek out there own kind, I disagree with your quote
  16. Antisocial withdrawn from or actively hostile to others or social institutions Insular of or relating to an island' date=' narrow-minded: 'absurdly [i']insular[/i] prejudices' Ok lets agree with you for one second and that after all these are your 'general' obsevations. What is it that makes them seek out their own kind? Remember cause and effect, the cause is the stigma that is put on these people, the effect is that they feel more comfortable with like minded company. I believe it is as a direct result of being 'shunned' that they then seek out their own kind. Why are they shunned? Because 1) smoking is now considered antisocial, 2) smoking cannabis is illegal. I dont disagree that you have noticed this, I disagree with your reasoning for this. Personally all the people I know that do this aren't antisocial, they work and work well at their jobs, they mix with their work mates go for a drink play squash. I have never seen someone that 'uses' get angry, on the whole they are very peaceful, laid back people. Every now and then on the occassional friday/saturday night they go over to a mates house and get totally blasted, I don't see that as any different to you or I going out to the pub and getting totally wrecked. I am a smoker, (normal fags) yet it is getting increasingly more difficult for me to go to a pub and have a drink and a smoke, so I dont go out so much now, if the laws were to ever change with regard to cannabis, I still dont think you would see them out and about, simply because it is getting more and more difficult to smoke anywhere but your own home.
  17. Nice one Dak and yeah you are right I think we have all learned something from this, and I too would like to thank those that have joined in, especially the pedophiles themselves, one, for having the balls to come in here and stand up for themselves, and two, for staying fairly level when at times it got very heated. I dont think there is a hard and fast answer to Corel's origional questions, but if I had to choose before our present company entered then I would have to go with "Do you think they are repeating a cycle of abuse?" yes..... but now??? I think both that one and "Could pedophilia simply be another sexual preference?" is also applicable. Are they insane??? nahhhhhh, on the whole they are well aware of what they are and how others see that as a threat, they dont appear to be the monsters we first thought of, just people like us with feelings that can get hurt, facing a huge challange to not follow through with what their hearts desire. For those of them that abstain I give nothing but admiration and respect.
  18. you know had you bothered to look a little further down pariah you would have seen and possibly read what I said next. Not being of your persuasion I have no way of knowing keywords to search for such sites, the words I used only brought up more and more sites about the negative side of sex when young, I was willing to go along with what you guys have been saying in here, I just couldnt find anything. No I am not interested in hearing more from pedophiles, you have all made it abundantly clear that you enjoyed sexual contact with others as children, but not all children that have these encounters become pedophiles themselves. It was these children/adults that I wanted to look up and read up on. No, it isnt enough to re-evaluate the laws, the law is there to protect the majority, that is the way laws work. Yes some kids are sexually active before the legal age of consent, there are some however that aren't..... should we raise the age of consent to allow for the minority that isnt? No, any more than we should lower it for the minority that is. Given time all laws change, and when the minority becomes the majority then we will see a change in that law. I seriously doubt that the law will ever change to the degree that some want it changed, its not just about having the tackle necessary for sex, its about being able to make sound judgements being mentally mature enough to handle the emmotions that go with it, being mentally mature enough to cope with the failings that go with it. You ask most 7 year olds what they want to be when they grow up and they will tell ya, ask them again the day after they have just seen the latest cool movie and they will have changed their minds.
  19. So are you saying then merico that the only children that have actually enjoyed this as children have themselves become infatuated in doing the same to other children once they themselves have become adults? I did think about looking up bl/gl forums, but thats not really what I was looking for, I wanted to see if there is a balance of children out there that have enjoyed such encounters without it then turning them into the potential pedophiles themselves. Children that have gone on into their adult life unscathed as such and just viewed what happened to them as a by the by and no big deal.
  20. This is a web site I found where people that have been abused talk about the after effects, and also people that are partners to those abused and how to deal with the information they just found out. one testimony of a survivor Hi: I was sexually abused from age 4 until I was sixteen. I did not tell anybody until I was in my 40's. I have been chronically ill my whole life. I have a little bit of a weight problem and I often feel as though I just can't let myself be a success at anything. Even when I am succeeding I feel like a loser. Whenever I tell anyone about myself I make sure they know how sick I am and how rotten something in my life is. I complain a lot and feel down and suffer from depression. I have begun to share with two women who were also sexually abused as children. I can't get used to sharing this kind of stuff and some times I get really angry and feel like we are just being victims. then I realize my anger is at my abusers. It is really hard to let go of the rage and I torture my body with my suppressed rage. I just thought I would share this to see if sharing on a list like this can help me unload even more of the rage. thanks Here is a partners comments Hi, I've been with my girlfiend for over a year and I'm just looking for ways to help her. She is 17 and I'm 21. She was sexually abused by her uncle from when she was very young to roughly when she was 14. I don't know the details as we don't really talk much about it, so I'm unsure how far it went (not really sure I'm ready to know anyway). We don't have sex or kiss, most we've ever done is hugging (which is pretty great!). I don't really expect any of these things for a long time which I'm fine with. Even though I love her so much and we've been togther for over a year, I don't really know how to ask around her. I'm used to normal relationships, and whenever I'm with her I want to touch her and put my arms around her. But she doesn't like that. Most of the time I plain forget about her past because I don't think of her like a victim or anything. This sounds like a stupid problem buts its just one of many problems we have trying to keep a normal relationship that can't be normal. Is anyone else in a simalar situation? How can you make it work? Thanks for any help, Paul Here is the web addy http://www.curezone.com/forums/f.asp?f=62&p=1 Ya know I tried looking for a similar forum where the kids actually enjoyed their encounters, strangely enough I couldnt find one.
  21. Yes it is illegal. That doesn't stop those people who live with intense pain on a daily basis from using it. My question wasnt would you use it (providing it is legal) it was a as it stands now question, with all the negativity you have heard with regard to "potheads". Would you use it?
  22. The next time any of you have a tummy upset caused through bad food or a bug of some sort and you are laying in your beds feeling very sorry for yourselves, flitting between cold sweats vomiting diahorrea and intense stomache pains, try imagining living the rest of your lives like that. With just the odd glimmer of normalicy once in a blue moon, no drugs work, they might eleviate one of the symptoms but make another worse and then you found that using cannabis actually removed all those symptoms for a few hours, would you use it?
  23. Inclined to disagree somewhat to that Sayonara³ . You have your recreational users who do often seek out like minded individuals not so much to share pot as to share time with those who wont look down on them for using it, and wont report them to the police for using it. People don't think twice if you go out and have a few pints down the pub, and most would have no problem joining another drinker even if they themselves don't drink. Its not quite that acceptable for the recreational smoker, simply because of the legalities and penalties associated with its use. For those that use it as a medication, the whole point of using it is that they CAN have some kind of quality of life, be it to get them out of pain, stop them feeling violently sick. Until they can eleviate those sorts of symptoms they are basically recluses with no external circle of friends. For them this is not a recreational "lets get happy" drug, many of them would gladly stop using cannabis if they could also be rid of the things that ail them. My husband has struggled with IBS since 1991, has been put through a real cocktail of drugs that the doctors outrightly admit wont help but "might" eleviate some of the symptoms, drugs who's side effects can be horrific and most definately life threatening. When he moved to Oregon in the USA and as part of going to the pain clinics there, he met and made friends with a man who had aids, this was in 1999. This chap told him about cannabis and how it really helps him with the nausea that he feels daily as a result of his aids. So my husband tried it for himself. Fairly shortly after that he got onto the medical marijuana programme where he could legally get cannabis for medical use, by the way the pain my husband goes through the doctors have said is as severe as a cancer patient who is on morphine, however, for my husband he will have a lot longer to live than most of these cancer patients so cant have morphine because it is sooo adictive. He cant stand the taste or the smell but it works for him and allows him to have a halfway decent quality of life. Sure he gets panic attacks at the thought of leaving the house, but I dont think there is a IBS sufferer out there that wont say "DAMN RIGHT! thats my worse nightmare too", you see they never know quite how it will work, lots of pain and then wind, lots of pain and then constipation, lots of pain and then diahorrea. My husband loves company and yet dreads leaving the house (toilet) not because of the cannabis he uses but because of how dibilitating his illness is to him, he loves food but rarely enjoys it because he knows it will always end the same way, within minutes he will be writhing in agony. It is no way to live, and on the rare occassion that he has a pain free day? WOW you could honestly be forgiven for thinking he had just won the lottery. I can only hope that at some point in the future all the governments around the world will finally see this drug for its true value, and legalise it, even if its just on a prescription basis. Then at least people like my husband won't be sneaking around feeling that they are doing something criminally wrong, just because they spend their lives in pain and have found a cure that in other peoples eyes is loathsome.
  24. on conventional resisters (four and five bands) the last band usually with a slighter larger gap between it and the preceding colour band, is the tolerance band. These are Brown = 1% Red = 2% Gold = 5% Silver = 10% This allows each resister to fluctuate by that %, so a 100Ω resister is Brown Black Black......Brown = 99Ω to 101Ω Brown Black Black......Red....= 98Ω to 102Ω Brown Black Black......Gold...= 95Ω to 105Ω Brown Black Black......Silver..= 90Ω to 110Ω
  25. I believe that is right yes, but are you sure the resistance on the multimeter is 10MΩ ? That seems extremely high to me, there is usually some resistance on the multimeter but not normally so much that it renders the meter useless. 10Ω would be more acceptable and though yeah it would effect the reading some, that fact that all resistors have verying tolerances would lose this resistance in the meter itself. What do you think?
