Dear all,

Recently the amount of spam on the forum has increased. We are aware of this, and we are working on a solution (we know what caused it).

The spam is generally of the crappiest quality and easy to recognize. Generally, we patrol the forum and remove any spam quite soon after it was posted, but if you think a particular spam message has been missed by the staff, please report it.

Best regards,

SFN Staff

PSA reminder: If you encounter spam please report it, but you only need to report one post by each offender. We can remove all of the posts more easily than clearing multiple reports.

Another PSA. We are aware that there is a lot of spam hitting the forum, often around this time. Unless the spam has been around for a day or more, please do not report it. Chances are we will see it before we see your report anyway. As stated above, clearing away multiple reports is about as much of a hassle as removing the spam accounts.

Another reminder that obvious spam will be taken care of in due course, the next time a moderator or administrator logs in and looks at recent posts. Reporting it just makes more work.

Only report it if it's been around for a day or more, as noted above, or if it's posted in an existing thread.
