most people in UK are starting to use prorgram for both "program" and "programme"

the program is used for computer programs

 

and programme is used to describe stuff on tele

 

 

also ... and English Billion, is a Million Million. compared to american billion , which is a thousand million. Altough to avoid confusion, is american billion is largely taken for granted.

Actually, Sir Humphry Davy, the Brit who discovered it, originally named it alumium, then aluminum and changed it later, according to this.

Not really specific to the net though, is it? That just sounds like some of the people in my class.

Hey, I'm from Germany, so I don't really care, but since I've spent a year in the states I'm actually used to the American version
