Tips for science noobs

Featured Replies

Feel free to add to this list (continuing my numbers)

1) Outrageous claims require outrageous evidence.

2) Google can answer many of your non-discussion related questions

3) If you google for a claim made by someone and can only come up with sites like zetatalk, consider the claimee braindead.

1) I wasn't aware it was that outraigious

2) Google gives too much information. I thought asking you might be quicker

3) Braindead seems a little harsh

Don't take it personally, I'm sure it's not aimed specifically at you. I imagine the lightning thing just reminded Blike to post something like this ;)

PS - zetatalk spawns all the weirdoes.

I just thought that the lightning theory was worth asking about because it came from a reliable source...Someone much more educated and experienced than Blke

What is zetatalk?

I apologize Blike. That was typed as a joke without my knowledge or consent. Just the friend who knew the engineer was a litttle loco ;). Seriously though, what is zetalk?

Oh wow, I think my IQ has just dropped below 140.

There's no way that was a personal attack on you. If it was that was really really mean. And that zetatalk thing is so weird! I almost died laughing at the "monster sun" photos. I was expecting something outragous, but these ppl too pictures of the sun like, behind clouds or something and said that it was a "monster sun"! HAHAHAHHA

My post was not aimed at anyone specifically. I was not trying to be mean to anyone. I'm sorry if I came off that way.

But braindead is NOT harsh for the zeta talk folk. They were the ones spewing off about planet x colliding with earth this spring.
